Saying they aren't part of the reason why this thread is being derailed and putting the blame on others is really telling.  They aren't here to discuss much, they're here to stir up drama. There was no need for that comment, but now here we are back in the same loop. I think it's probably best if we just leave them be and have them talk to themselves. They'll stop when they aren't getting their usual attention.

I am confident about who would be contributing the most towards the drama by your own metric… and it is the person you are commiserating with about how unfair it is for folks to respond to being misquoted/downvoted/attacked.
 

Go look at right after a mod told folks to settle down things here and who started downvoting and posting crap again…

 

The evidence is there for you if you cared to look beyond your bias.

Right? This post was litterally a "HEY LOOK AT ME TRYING TO HAVE A REAL PRODUCTIVE HOCKEY DISCUSSION" while actively trying to stir the pot. The only outcome of a post like that is to attempt to antagonize other posters into engaging. There is zero other point of a post such as that one. The greatest irony is they are calling out people for not talking about the subject at hand, while making a point that doesn't contribute anything to the subject at hand.

 

But hey, at least it wasn't a post replying to a themselves so at least there is progress. Really shows how bored some people on the internet really must be. Every time some people open their browser it must be like Christmas morning to see who engaged back and who they can argue with. I just don't get it, where is the enjoyment in that? Really makes you wonder.

First of all...did you read the other couple of posts i made? I was saying that both sides are responsible to settle thing down on here...and while a lot of us have contributed here & there (including me), there is one person who's been the main issue and it's not who you're pointing the finger at, although i'm sure he's man enough to take some responsibility, unlike the person i'm talking about. Not sure how some are missing it / defending it, when most see what's going on. 

 

After my original post i was trying to find some medium ground and say we should all make an effort (including me) to settle things down, so i'll leave it at that.....

I'm of the attitude that we dont know what we have until we see it. Let's see what Poolman brings in a Canucks uniform.

 

Really, how many games have posters seen Poolman play in? Or actually focused their attention on him?

 

If he can play 12 minutes a night as a decent shutdown guy he is worth 2.5.

That guy was a 13th overall pick.  

 

I should have added, Poolman's age is a plus in his favor.  A mature *person* is probably has a better chance at being able to adjust.  Look at Jake Virtanen as an example.  Jake needs to grow up some more.

This thread is a mess. Let's wait and see what he does on the ice. I always notice Poolman on the ice for the Jets as, "in the way a lot". That's a good thing so lets have it play out.

Even if anyone was to believe that crazy theory of yours (which has zero evidence behind it and makes no logical sense whatsoever), then he still failed miserably at your invented idea of his unique and never been seen before version of a “competitive rebuild”.  Our team was terrible over his tenure, and not competitive in the slightest.

 

A less out of this world, never been seen before theory would be that we can believe the things that came out of his mouth and that he wanted to turn the team around and have success.  Trading away futures and signing veteran free agents makes sense in that context (which isn’t a rebuild).  He still failed at it, but it makes coherent sense at least.

Poolman was playing 18-22 minutes/night fir the Jets.  He will be playing 18-22 minutes a night fir us fir sure.  The guy is very similar to Chis Tanev.  He’s really good.

He has shown he can go from a Poolboy to a full grown Poolman.

It's probably better to compare Poolman to other defensive-minded RHD, such as Hakanpaa, Savard, Hamonic, etc.  The former is probably the best one to compare, since they're both older players with limited NHL experience.

 

3x1.5M (left some money on the table, according to reports) vs 4x2.5M (subject to a 12 team bidding war, according to reports).
