[Signing] Canucks sign Sheldon Rempal

But here comes the cap crunch .....  we have $14, 064,361 remaining cap space, plus Ferland's LTIR of $3,500,000, plus the 10% overage, but still have to sign Petey, Hughes, Juolevi and Dickinson.  I hope the excuse this time isn't "we just ran out of money" instead of last year's "running out of time"

the 10% overage alone is enough space to fit pettersson's contract.

you're worrying about nothing.

Then they have to dump cap before opening night to comply. ... or lose someone in waivers if trying to bury ... or have a mysterious illness that suddenly creates room.  It's not just an academic exercise.

you're missing the point, which is that they have plenty of space so chill.

As an aside. ... what determines if a player is listed as "roster" (eg Di Giuseppe, Hunt) or " non roster" (eg Lockwood,  Gadjovich,  Burrows)?

We have $13.5 million in non-roster designees that aren't part of that $67.4 million cap hit
