I don't see this as a downgrade from Grubauer. Kuemper put up bery good numbers on a bad team for 2 straight season, his stats took a hit last year but it could be due to the fact that he had to face the Avalanche and Golden Knights way too many times. Kuemper with Colorado in front of him could bounce back to his 2019-20 form easily.

Arizona getting all these draft picks okay, but lets look at their history of their draft picks and keeping their players.... OEL and Keller(may of overpaid though) the only ones they've really ever kept  all the other good ones they just trade away anyways, so imo these picks are useless for Arizona, they'll just end up trading the players they draft away anyways

2011 1st rd pick Connor Murphy traded

2012 1st round pick Henrik Samuelsson rights traded to Oilers

2013 1st round pick Max Domi traded

2014 1st round pick Brendan Perlini traded

2015 1st round pick Dylan Strome traded

2016 1st round pick Clayton Keller signed

2017 1st round pick Pierre Olivier Joseph traded

2018 1st round pick Barrett Hayton still under contract

Throw in Conor Garland as well

Oh forgot about Turris as well

These guys are just clueless over there with their picks, like I said these picks are a waste for this organization, they just trade them away anyways.

Arizona did well to take advantage of a cornered Avs organization. But really, how long will their forever rebuild go on? They've only had a handful of truly competitive squads throughout their history. The NHL would move Winnipeg again before punting Arizona out of the desert.

Sure, Arizona has a large market, but that don't mean &^@# all if the people there don't really care about the Coyotes.

Man Joe Sakic may be patient as a GM, but in this case was too patient and lost out on better goalies.

He wants to win every single trade and every single signing which pisses player agents and other G.M. Off.

So you give up your Vezina quality goalie who's 29 for a 31 year old goalie who costs you a 1st, a good young RHD over 1.4 mil?

I am totally baffled by Sakic's move here.

Also, Kuemper is a UFA next year and will likely want more money after a year of being the starter of a good team.

I'm just happy to see Colorado get taken down a peg. They lost some real talent this offseason.
