Just because he had good stats doesn't really mean much, that shouldn't exclude him for the past 11 years of playing now especially when he's an addict, again a guy like Pete Rose who was also an addict to gambling but also had insane stats, holds the MLB record for most hits, that couldn't stop the addiction urge from betting on his team. So I'm supposed to believe that a guy who's addicted to gambling and was $27M in debt because of his addiction didn't bet once on any hockey game in the last 11 years.... Really... So if a drug addict said to you I only do drugs in the town next to mine I never do drugs in the town I live in, are people going to believe him now? I doubt it he's an addict it's the same way I'm looking at Kane he's an addict I have hard time believing he never bet once on hockey.

We don't know for sure.

The fact that he spoke out against it, despite legal advice, tells me he cares about what people think about this particular scenario. Maybe he's confident that he won't get caught? I don't know.

It's undeniable that he has HUGE financial problems, and it's not a stretch at all that part of this was due to gambling, and how it is used to recoup his losses. Nobody will dispute that.

Kane, calls wife mentally ill, jets off to Europe, for a bit of partying; and likely gambling at a casino that he doesn't already owe too much money to. Leaving his allegedly mentally ill, soon to be ex wife, looking after his soon to be moved out of their family home child.

All I'm saying is that there are more sides to this story than just the one. I don't entirely buy the wife's story, especially with the types of messages she's leaked out, which actually reflect on her immaturity more than anything else.

She talks about being poor and accusing Kane of not providing money for 'formula'. She accuses Kane of threatening to murder her and the kid. Serious $&!#. There are so many things that are just so alarming from what she said. How do we know what is true or what is false? We don't.

We can only see what she allows us to see, which is IG. If we're basing the situation around what she said there, we only have a part of the story, not the complete one.

Yeah we don't know for sure, but that hasn't stopped you from saying because of his stats I doubt he would do this, yet when there is evidence of someone else doing it who was actually stats wise better then Kane, now you say we don't know for sure.

Funny how you'll come to your own opinion on the matter but when others have a different opinion now you have a problem with their opinion and hey you should keep an open mind.

In one of your replies to someone you just trash Kane as person in your opinion, then literally the next reply you say people should take a minute and stop jumping to conclusion... Huh... You're all over the place here, and I haven't even addressed your hate for his wife here yet and that's another issue, almost like you have hate towards women or something, you're really attacking her here.

If you actually re-read what I wrote, I said:

People just need to think for a minute instead of rushing to conclusions. The amount of stuff that has been said to confirm ppl's bias against this guy is disgusting. Yes, Kane is a questionable person. His reputation is arguably worse than Virtanen's escapades (before the latest accusations). That being said, one can still separate the fact that Kane is a POS, but still think, "wait a minute, this doesn't make sense".

Now this is not necessarily proof that he did or did not throw a game, but I feel his stats make a persuasive case that he didn't 'throw' games.

Well one could say, "Well, if he's hiding his betting, he could just score to do it", but it wouldn't be very convincing. You can't produce numbers like this by not trying.

And to your point, silky, deliberately giving up the puck does not guarantee that someone else would score on you. When there's a pattern of weird giveaways, the coach will notice this. A winger just doesn't have that much of an influence, to the extent that he can deliberately influence a game to go bad.

There's so much that has been said about Kane that little has been said about what's she's typed up already. For some reason everyone is just automatically confirming their biases toward Kane, but there's more to the story.

I haven't concluded anything. I don't know Kane or the wife. I just know there's more to the story than what she has published (and has now since deleted).

Didn't you claim at the beginning she's spending hours and hours on instagram?

Yes. Here's the evidence. See the time stamps. Tell me I'm not accurate in my description.

How many post in total over the years the account has been active?

I wouldn't really know. Since everyone is basing this latest story on what she has published, would it not be relevant to know how often she has spent writing those messages?

Furthermore, if you look at her IG moments, you'll see that she's quite well travelled, including driving along the seaside.

Having lived in a poor household, I don't know when the &^@# my mom would be able to do half the things she's done. That's why I think her story is faulty.

I think a potentially scary part I see is that it’s likely Evander can’t get credit to gamble at any regulated casino, so to get his gambling fix he might be going to those people who don’t follow any regulations.  Maybe even the loan shark kind of people that have knuckle draggers as debt collectors.

No. My computer is on  most of the day, usually on CDC or  Chess.com. While my computer is on and the web browser is viewing a site,  it does not mean I'm actually watching those sites.

What are you talking about?

She sent those messages at those times. 6 hours, 2 hrs, 2 hrs, all on the same freaking day, presumably.

I don't know how you can just ignore the situation and blame her mostly, when Kane filed for $27M in debt prior to the season for gambling issues, those red flags aren't enough? Really? She's just making this all up?

I don't know why you're deliberately twisting what I said.

I didn't say she made it all up. I'm saying it's hard to tell what is fact and what is embellishment.

This is the latest thing she said on IG, which she has removed. Also proving my point that she spends hours on instagram

In the previous quote with me you just said you believe her story is faulty, ok maybe you didn't use the word all, but you're saying you don't believe her story.

I said I don't ENTIRELY believe her story. These are nuances in language that you are missing out. Go back and re-read CAREFULLY what I said. People here have poor reading comprehension.

No your constant attack on her is getting ridiculous imo.
