Its been a wild journey in Toronto this past year since GM Crabby took over. He said from the start he would be rebuilding this roster, and boy, he wasn't lying. Aside from the young guys that played on their big club last year such as, Adam Fox, Alexis Lefreniere, Nolan Patrick, Jesse Puljujarvi, Adam Gaudette, Trent Frederic, Cal Foote, and Andrew Peeke, They have a lot of solid prospects yet to take that next step.

1. Quinton Byfield

2. Yaroslav Askarov

3. Alex Turcotte

4. Luke Hughes

5. Adam Beckman

6. Drew Commesso

7. Jordan Spence

8. Xavier Bourgault

9. Ivan Chekhovich

10. Prokhor Poltapov

11. Logan Mailloux

12. Nathan Legare

13. Ville Koivunen

14. Simon Robertsson

15. Cole Huckins

On top of all this young talent, they have 20 more picks in the next 2 drafts!

5x 1st's

5x 2nd's

5x 3rd's

5x 4th's

Its going to be fun watching this team grow over the next 5+ years! ::D

SIGNING: The Los Angeles Kings have signed the following players:

small.png Adam Lowry - 5 year, $17.5 million dollar contract. ($3.5M AAV) (Modified NTC - Player can submit a 6 team no trade list)

spacer.png Derek Ryan - 1 year, $1.75 million dollar contract. ($1.75 million per season)

spacer.png Josh Manson - 3 year, $10.2 million dollar contract. ($3.4 million per season)

small.png Dmitrij Jaskin - 2 year, $5.0 million dollar contract. ($2.5M AAV)

The Kings knew we'd have some work to do this summer, and we're very happy to have gotten off to the start we have by adding the 3 names above. We have plenty more offers made to fill out not only our NHL roster but our organizational depth in Palm Springs, but we believe that we're on our way to icing a solid team in the Pacific.

Projected LA Kings Roster

Anders Lee - Nicklas Backstrom - Tanner Pearson

Max Comtois - Pius Suter - Dmitrij Jaskin

Vlad Namestnikov - Adam Lowry - Josh Archibald

Andreas Johnsson - Derek Ryan - (UFA)

Mattias Ekholm - Mark Giordano

Danny Dekeyser - Josh Manson

(UFA) - Troy Stecher

Sergei Bobrovsky

Casey Desmith

Ouch. This one will definitely be a tough one to swallow. We did everything we could to keep Keith in a Capitals uniform but sometimes that is just not enough.

I remember in 2010 when I first took the job here in Washington the roster was led by Patrik Elias, Alexander Semin, Roman Hamrlik, Keith Yandle and Miikka Kiprusoff.

Together we took what was a non-playoff team and quickly changed the culture to make us a worthy opponent in the Eastern Conference.

In 2011 at the end of my first season Yandle won the CDCGML Norris Trophy as the Caps shocked the league and won the division.

In 2012 as the 7th seed the Caps went on a heroic underdog run where we went to the CDCGML finals and slightly fell short to the LA Kings. Yandle was a major contributor for us with 9 points in 16 playoff games that season.

Year after year Yandle continued to defy odds and continuously produce as one of the leagues most productive dmen under our scoring format. The most astounding part of this stretch was probably his iron man streak. The man did not miss a single regular season game during my entire 11 year duration as General Manager and even played 84 games during the 2014-15 season; just remarkable.

Keith will be truly missed for what he has brought to our organization for such a long time. In Washington he won a Norris, made the finals, and even won a Presidents Trophy. They only thing we weren't able to accomplish together was a Stanley Cup championship.

We are forever grateful for the services of one of the all-time great Washington Capitals soldiers.

We wish him the best in Anaheim where @AndreLePlum now officially has our second favourite team in the league.

Keith will be a great addition to our top four.
