The Really Big One

An earthquake will destroy a sizable portion of the coastal Northwest. The question is when.

This is an excellent article about when the big one will strike the West Coast. It's a lengthy read, but is very well written and will be worth your time.

There is also an audio version of the story (if you want to be lazy and have someone read you a story) under the first picture.

We humans think we have control over the planet we exist on.

Every now and again she bitch-slaps us and illustrates who really is in charge.

Serious question, how are the people who are both nature lovers and pro open borders going to be able to reconcile the eventual conundrum that is the continued deforestation and encroachment that these people will require?

Since when did movies like Soylent Green become a handbook and not a warning?

Well I believe we are all citizens of earth and as such I think that it is a basic human right for anyone to live on the part of this planet where he or she feels like it can give them the best quality of life and happiness.

This is assuming that that person is willing to respect and abide by the laws governing that part of the world. Also to try to adapt to that culture rather than having that culture forced to adapt to their presence.

That being said the onus is on the lawmakers that operate in those areas to make the changes necessary to ensure that environmental preservation is a key part of population growth no matter how it grows. Whether by natural birth rate or immigration.

How much? If you have kids and I have kids their kids can collect.

We’re beyond the rebuild stage at this point even with the 2 year deal results need to come this year or the leash will be extremely short next year. If he is coaching here beyind next season it is because there have been positive results. No coach stays that long throughout a rebuild without results.
