laddie
I’m sure that Hamonic is eventually going to be in camp, but in the off chance that he is unable, would you consider a trade for PK Subban? In this scenario the NJ Devils pay his 6m bonus just leaving 1 year at 2m for salary? At this point NJ may be looking to offload Subban for a younger prospect such as Joulevi. This would give our RHD prospects like Woo another year to develop before joining the big club. Thoughts?
Chickenspear
Nah. We likely won't have the cap space after Petey/Quinn sign, and I would rather give our young guys like Woo some NHL experience as a 6/7D. Subban isn't the same Subban anymore either.
JM_
even with 1/2 retained on PK we don't have the cap space for him.
Phil_314
MAYBE at the deadline if we're contending and need RD depth (let the team accrue cap and then trade any low-performing players), though I don't see how he would be an impact player if we needed a significant addition. I'd be targeting Severson, if that were the case. Would be a bit tough to figure out how to free up cap space though, unless Petey/Quinn contracts come in at $16m or less (unlikely). They probably won't be able to accrue cap as Ferland is expected to go on LTIR.

I guess thats one positive outcome of that whole thing.

He doesn't have to be vaccinated to play but has to follow stricter protocols.

I don't think the Canucks will want him near the team, or in the AHL if he isn't. I could see waivers being the best option.

Benning on Sportsnet 650 said it would be a strain to have an unvaccinated player. Talked of how it would mess with pairing and line chemistry to adjust each time the player is in quarantine.
