[Proposal] Van - Sea much needed RHD

Recommended Posts

Seattle gets

2022 3rd round pick

Zack MacEwen

Vancouver gets

Jeremy Lauzon

Canucks badly need another RHD because of Hamonic not deciding yet if he is going to play and get a cheap cap hit player that has at least played big minutes in the playoffs.

Yeah I was thinking Lauzon is a good option. Cheap contract, good defensively and plays with grit.

Seattle has a lot of extra Dmen and likely want to convert some into picks.

Lauzon could play as a RD with Hughes 5v5 and then switch to LD on the PK.

Don't know if the value is there for Seattle, it may take a prospect + 3rd.

Why in the hell would the Kraken trade a guy they just gave a 4 or 5 year deal to, two months ago?

Who knows?

I mean some posters even thought EP and QH would have signed before training camp.

Maybe Seattle plan of grabbing tons of picks through the expansion draft backfired.  And now they are looking to make real hockey trades to get draft picks.

But getting Larsson would require him waiving his NTC and would cost Canucks at least a 1st + roster player + top prospect.

He’s not being traded, any player that showed up on stage at the expansion draft show is not being traded, I’m sorry but your reasons make no sense and no one is giving up a 1st rounder for Larsson specially in the Shane Wright or Cody Bedard drafts.

Any 1st nowadays are usually lottery protected.

But yeah Larsson is probably a no go.  But he would be sweet to get and at the cap hit too.

Larsson would not fit in the cap. Also Seattle would want 1st rounder, roster player like Motte, 4th rounder..

Can't give up another 1st rounder..No to Larsson..

I'm sure Benning is beating the bushes for RHD but everybody knows he is over a barrel.

Best for him to watch the waiver wire over the coming week or so

All I can say is that I'm glad he worked hard to bolster team depth at every position over the summer and it could save his bacon.  What have we got on the right?

Hamonic*

Poolman

Myers

Schenn

Keeper (2 NHL games played)

Burroughs (5 games)

Bowie (156 games)

Woo (0 games)

again, keep your eyes on the waiver wire
