Why? smaller than all our other LHD, 0 room on the NHL club, makes 0 sense for the Canucks

Yes was going to say, this guy is smaller than me and a career minus player. Exactly what we don’t need, have our own prospects who would be better to fill potential Hamonic gap. Juulsen is kind of intriguing

I think there will be a team that will take a look at Montembeault.

I think Juulsen is basically like Madison Bowey. But with Hamonic's decision looming, I'd take a look. If there are other options later, we can just waive Juulsen again.

Can never remember how waivers works but once a team makes a claim, doesn't that re-order the priority status for waiver claims?

If that's right then not saying the Canucks might not or should not place a claim on Juulsen, but doing so now may lower their waiver priority status if a better player is available later.

Yeah I thought about that as well. But what if there isn't anyone better than Juulsen on waivers anyway? Would have to look through all of the rosters and predict who might get waived. But even later into waivers, teams might not have that need and that player could slip to our next spot anyway. Also I'm sure GMs would be reaching out to us about potential RDs that may hit waivers if the news does come out that Hamonic is out for the season.

Probably a reason why Florida is putting Juulsen on waivers now to pressure us into a decision now or not and hope they can slip him through (or maybe Juulsen just isn't that good?).

The waiver priority order does not change if you make claims. Until November 1st the order is based on the previous season final standings. After November 1st it is based on current standings.

I don't think Juulsen is used as a pressure point - the guys already been with two teams in his short career. I have no idea why his stock has fallen so much, especially with his original descent in the draft.

Much like Bowey, who was drafted in the 2nd round, they were picked due to their size likely. Likely don't have the skating or IQ to keep up with the game?
