DeNiro Posted October 9, 2021 Share Posted October 9, 2021 5 cross checking penalties in the Flames/Jets game tonight… The NHL is it’s own worst enemy I swear. They keep trying to change the rule book and it just makes things worse. No real hockey fan wants to see 15 penalties called a game. This is how they reduced obstruction, and slashes to the hands, both which have made hockey much better to watch. The players just need time to curb learned behaviour. Unfortunately this call will ruin the game like it has “applying” the hooking and slashing rules. And everyone already knows it won’t be applied consistently.
