Is Green’s new buzz word for this season, “direct’?  He’s said “plays direct” a lot.  Why don’t our reporters ask Green to explain what he means?  Direct to pucks?  Direct to net?  Direct through contact?  All?

Very interesting that Green is electing to ice rosters that contain some veterans and a lot of the NHL depth pieces and very few of the younger names like Klimovich, Woo, and Wouters. Havent even seen Plasek, Nielsen, Leipert or Keppen. 

 

Seems like he wants to get the likely Callups to know the system tem well so its a seamless plug in.

Likely already earmarked to be re-assigned.

 

Green talked about how he wanted to get his main group together as they have so many new faces and expects them to get into more exhibition games than usual.  He didn't exclude recalling a couple of players from group 2 but Klimovich is probably too far from NHL ready to get into a game.
