He actually received his first dose and developed heart inflammation as an adverse reaction. He's considered un-vaccinated because he doesn't have 2 doses. You too will be considered un-vaccinated when you haven't received your upcoming 3rd booster. I can't wait to hear people with 3 doses blaming the ones with 2 doses for the rise of cases...

cool so now you're making stuff up. This is the part where you've lost the argument.

provide evidence that Archibald received a dose of vaccine and it contributed to his heart inflammation.

Do you find trolling a pandemic funny?  Or are you just one of those people looking to sow distrust in our society?  Either one, get lost.

it took 4 pages for someone to start spreading misinformation. But sure, "reasonable" is in short supply among vaccinated folks.

I'm very pro vaccine but no one other than your doctor should be informing you on whether to get vaccinated or which vaccine to use.

Whether we like it or not there are people who have had yet rare as they are major health complications from vaccines because of rare medical conditions. So before we assume someone is dumb or selfish we should ask why they didn't get it.

I encourage everyone who can to get vaccinated but othering, segregating, and mocking people who are anti vaccine or vaccine hesitant isn't going to encourage them to get it, it's just going to make them dig their heels in.

I think the best way is education, transparency, and a bit of compassion.

I remember when Kamala Harris said she wouldn't get the vaccine because they were developed under the Trump administration, people saying these things have sewed mistrust. It's too bad that this pandemic has been soo politicized.

A vaccine bully who isn't a smarmy, self-righteous POS. Thank you sir. My hat's off to you. Actually, I guess you aren't a vaccine bully either.

Thanks. No I'm not a bully haha.

I think anti vaxxers are maybe ill informed but I refuse to force my ideology onto others. A Libertarian if you will.

The people telling the vaccinated to be more reasonable and empathetic to those unvaccinated because of their personal decision oddly enough never seem to mention one obvious simple fact: this disease is contagious. That means being in the presence of others can spread the illness. That means your decision not to get the jab has an impact on people beyond being as so many defenders/hesitators call it “a personal decision”. It infuriates most of us who hear arguments like this.

How many fully vaccinated people have had to miss work and struggle with their finances because of being in quarantine from an unvaccinated person spreading disease? How  many vaccinated people have had important health care refused because the hospitals are too full with the unvaxxed to take care of them? How many health care workers have suffered exhaustion and burnout from treating those unwilling to protect themselves or others? How many people have cut off or cut down on seeing their friends/families in order to help control the disease? How much mental health effect have people experienced by doing so? How many people have died because of someone else’s “personal decision”? How many others in this world, country, province have been negatively impacted by the unvaccinated?

So which group really deserves empathy and compassion during a plague? Those trying to do what they can to protect themselves and others or those doing nothing trying to pretend the pandemic doesn’t even exist? It’s them saying directly to us “we don’t care about our impact on your and your loved ones health because we deserve to do anything we want regardless of consequences to others”. That’s why the 80-90% majority of us who are doing what it takes to keep our loved ones, those we don’t know and even the unvaccinated protected are fed up seeing people defending those who have no interest in protecting our own families and loved ones.

Now how do you think that makes the fully vaccinated feel? Maybe for once instead of constantly defending the tiny minority that’s  keeping this pandemic going for all of us, put yourself in the shoes of someone fully vaccinated and what they’re going through because of those unwilling to take a vaccine (not unlike the ones humanity has used to eradicate smallpox).

What would a world look like if diseases such as smallpox were still rampant because people refused to get protection? How many more would be dead? Would your family line survive? Would you be alive? These are questions we don’t face because people decided to get vaccinated.

Luckily the vast majority of us have gotten how serious and important it is to get the shots protecting us against COVID and the number of people we convince to do so continues rising while the loud minority continues to shrink. The only reason that the impacts of this pandemic haven’t been worse is because the majority of us are following the guidelines to social distance, mask and get vaccinated and it’s about damn time we start getting credit for what we’ve done in order to save lives.

Is it ok if I copy paste this, minus your name, on any thread on any site dealing with covid?

This was very well done.

The issue is this is a very small, number of people, and no one is mad at them. Anti-vaxxers are trying to hide behind these folks, as if their legitimate health issues apply to their wonky beliefs. No one upset at the anti-vaxxers is upset if they are in this tiny minority of people.

Its really simple, get the shot if you can, or stay home. No one has the right to infect someone else. Its no different than some creep having unprotected sex knowing they have an std.
