Popular Post Nail
CDCFL 2021-22 ANNUAL QUESTIONNAIRE Thank you to all GMs for answering this questionnaire in a quick manner! We received responses from all 32 teams and the results are below. A reminder that a proposed change needs 75% approval to be implemented. Quote Question 1: Should we add a 6th Round to our Entry Draft? This would allow for more prospects to get drafted, and could give teams an additional trade asset as well. (Repeat question, last year 69% of voters voted yes) Yes - 18 No - 9 No Preference - 5 Total Percentage - 67%, will not be implemented Quote Question 2: Should we allow teams to hold the unsigned prospect rights to European and Collegiate prospects for 4 years as opposed to 2? This would prevent teams from using one of their 50 contract slots on players that aren't playing pro hockey in North America yet. (Repeat question, last year 64% of voters voted yes) Yes - 22 No - 7 No Preference - 3 Total Percentage - 76%, will be implemented Quote Question 3: Should we make an amendment to our current 12:00 pm PST roster move cutoff time? If changed, roster moves would be allowed right up until puck drop. For example, if Montreal plays at 4 pm PST and Vancouver plays at 7 pm PST, if you wanted to send down a Canadien and call up a Canuck, the cutoff for this roster move would be at 4 pm as it is the puck drop of the first team involved. If you wanted to send down a player not playing that night and call up a Canuck, the cutoff for this roster move would be at 7 pm. (Repeat question, last year 67% of voters voted yes) Yes - 15 No - 11 No Preference - 6 Total Percentage - 58%, will not be implemented Quote Question 4: Post trade deadline, should waivers remain on? Currently, we turn off waivers after the deadline, however waivers do remain on in the NHL. (New question) Yes - 22 No - 6 No Preference - 4 Total Percentage - 79%, will be implemented Quote Question 5: Should we implement a 5 year limit on all contracts? Currently we follow the NHL procedures with 8 year contracts allowed for re-signings and 7 year contracts allowed in free agency (New question) Yes - 9No - 20 No Preference - 3 Total Percentage - 31%, will not be implemented Quote Question 6: Should goalies be able to earn 0.1 points for every save they make? Currently, goalies are only rewarded for winning a game or losing in overtime/shootout. This would place more value on goaltenders on weaker teams and goalies that stop the puck more than their peers. A 40 save performance in a loss would be worth 4 points and a 20 save shutout win would be worth 22 points. Yes - 19 No - 11 No Preference - 2 Total Percentage - 63%, will not be implemented Quote Question 7: Should we reduce the value of PIMs in the league? Currently, each minute of penalties is worth 1 point in the regular season and 0.5 points in the playoffs. (New question) Yes - 18 No - 12 No Preference - 2 Total Percentage - 60%, will not be implemented. Quote Conclusion: 2 out of the 7 proposed changes will come into effect immediately. Teams will now hold unsigned prospect rights for Europeans and College players for 4 seasons, and waivers will remain on at all times during the regular season. The other 5 changes will potentially remain on the table for future discussions in upcoming questionnaires, but will not be implemented for 2022-23. These are the results of the questionnaire, I am going to take the next few days to look at the responses to the starting goalie question and will release a new poll for that shortly. I will also look at the personalized comments too! 1 4

We however wish to progress forward this season after two years of high picks in our tenure here. We are thrilled to welcome Wade and look forward to seeing what he can bring in an every day NHL role. Injury unfortunately derailed his season last year. 2 hours ago, Nail said: We have a trade to announce... We wish Simon well in Vancouver. He might become the better player in a few years but we wish to take a step forward and unfortunately he was sacrificed for that cause. We would also like to welcome Tristan Lennox who's deal will be posted a bit later. We like his game and look forward to seeing him progress his game next season! We will be speaking with Brock's agent and we will try and sell him on the benefits of where NJ is going and his potential role within it. We will see what happens. We also have many more million we hope utilize to add more talented hockey players as we prep our team for a hopefully better season! 22nd overall would be a nice goal for next season! D-Money
If that's how it goes down, gotta feel for @Master Mind. All those Tampa players ready for round 3, and he gets beaten by a measly single point.

I hate the standard fantasy playoffs format for cases like this -- losing because my Bolts didn't screw around, and won their series in 4.
