RU SERIOUS
With the start of the season just around the corner and with the usual front runners (Jake "The Ripper" and "Lucky" Loui kickled off the team - amongst other obvious choices), who do you believe will become The Most Popular "Whipping-Boy" on the canucks this coming 21-22 season (including Greener and Uncle Jim)? Popular Post Shirotashi
This is in poor taste right before the season starts. I usually like to wait 10 games before I get toxic. 1 2
EmilyM
The Assistant Whipping Boy of the last few years who is ready to step in as Head Whipping Boy appears to be Mr. Myers.
EddieVedder
Myers but should be Hughes. 2
NHL97OneTimer
Posts like this do nothing to support the club. Whipping boy is a title earned, not designated or voted on. Edited October 10, 2021 by NHL97OneTimer 1
Viper007
I hope there are never any whipping boys. Unfortunately, I know there will be. As a fan, we should all be supportive of everybody on the team IMO. But that will never happen.
ShawnAntoski
Based on CA - OJ is being shopped with the intention of putting him on waivers tomorrow. So I guess, Green will have to find a new one - Podz ?
King Heffy
Baumgartner until he's replaced with a real coach.

GB5
Petan is already my whipping boy so if he makes the team then ya, it is him. Far too often I have seen give aways, or he shies away from hits which allows for sustained pressure in the defensive zone or he glides instead of attacking the net on break ins and on it goes. He has 4 points but take that with a grain of salt given the premium icetime he has received over other players who will be getting it durng the regular season. But he is coach Greens guy so there is that. I also say this because this team is too light and soft so maybe some size bias but not much. I would be happier with Gadjo back though. Coconuts
Baumgartner until he's gone, at least for me. Green too, if the team looks like they might be in trouble by the beginning of November, I can only be so patient with a coach who can't get what's needed out of the squad we've got.
shiznak
Pearson, OEL (if he doesn’t live up to expectations), Myers, Halak. Hughes will get overlook based on his offense, but if he doesn’t improve on his defense. I could see a lot of people turning on him (if not already)

Plays scared, gave away a costly turnover that allowed a 2 minute shift in our zone. Perimeter all day. We need our bottom 6 to drive for the greasy ones. 1

From "wow! most dynamic, exciting defenceman our team has ever had!" to the new whipping boy for fans in less than a year. lol. what a toxic and pathetic fanbase. 4

Rindiculous
Hopefully no one. We’re gonna be too good to have a whipping boy this year. Our possession numbers are good, the wins will come.
