I'm hearing Motte has been with the team on this road trip..... you see him coming back soon??

and yes, he's gonna make Dowling redundant... but Dowling can play centre too and I believe Motte doesn't anymore??...

With Motte travelling with the team, a return soon sounds promising but who knows.

Pretty sure Motte did play C before, but I don't think he's done much of that at the NHL level.  It's possible that Dowling's versatility might make Chiasson the odd man out once Motte is healthy.  It'll be interesting to see what coaching/management sees as more important:  having a spare PP specialist or having a versatile spare forward.

I hope Petan clears for the sake of Abbotsford.

Abbotsford really could use a playmaking center in Petan.

Looks like 425k for his farm $. For a guy with no size, don't expect teams to take on big AHL-earners.

Interestingly, Dowling's 2-way contract pays both 750K, whether bigs or farm. Chiasson too.

They'll prob get a couple of these guys down, sooner or later.

Say what you will about Aquilini, but money has never been an issue during his ownership.  Grateful that he's willing to spend on a competitive farm team to develop our prospects.

Provides some big-club depth too. I see it as a sorta compensation, that we didn't collect extra draft picks(in most trades), past 6-8 yrs while rebuilding.

Had we used extra draft picks over that period, if any made it, they'd likely be these A/NHL 'tweener-types anyways.

Wouldn't be surprised if Green fights to keep Highmore and send Pod down.

Green likely sees Highmore as a son.

The team is carrying 8 defenders at the moment with Hunt  and Schenn not seeing the ice yet.

Makes me wonder if one of them goes.

Let me ask you.

If you think hard about it, does what you said make sense?
