Why in holy hell would live rounds ever be an option?

Check out some of the replies to that tweet.  re: what the movie industry considers a "live" round.

As been likely said, you'd think they would've figured out some 'foolproof' way of recreating the use of such weapons in movies by now.

Once something is assumed to be foolproof, a fool proves the assumption to be wrong.  Absolutely sickening results, everyone working on that set will have to look back at this for the rest of their lives.

This is such a horrible occurrence.  I don’t get why, if the actors are rehearsing or filming a scene why a cinematographer gets shot?

Gotta consider the possibility a disgruntled union member is responsible.

It’s just baffling that an expert in props could accidentally load a live round.

I could picture the producer sitting and her standing either in front of him or behind him. Producer gets it in the shoulder, and her through the stomach. There were reports yesterday it might have been caught on film.

Such an tragedy.   In the setting of a TV show or movie, the people working on set and the actors are reliant on people like this AD to ensure things go off safely.  When they don't do their jobs to a T, you get tragedies like this and like with the late Brandon Lee.

Not until evidence comes out to show that possibility. Speculating that someone potentially committed a murder with zero evidence is quite frankly disgusting and completely uncalled for. Be a better person than this.

Personally I’m going to wait until an investigation is done before forming any opinion. One thing though that should be done is banning prop guns and using CGI or special effects to create the illusion of a gun being fired. We have the technology to make an entire movie on a computer so I don’t see how this can’t be done to ensure this never happens again.

There’s already tons of speculation going on, and quite frankly foul play isn’t that much of a stretch when you’re talking about loading a real bullet in a prop gun.

Don’t wanna discuss possibilities the door is that way ====>
