That is so weak. Should have taken their next 2 first round and second round picks away and fined 25% of revenue this season.

After he was fired by the Blackhawks, Aldrich was given a *letter of recommendation* by several members of the Blackhawks organization (including Quenneville) to get a job with the University of Miami (Ohio) where he molested a student. Yeah, this story goes this deep and gets that bad. 1 1

PhillipBlunt
I wonder if this rough start for the Blackhawks is partially due to the organization being a disgusting and vile mess.
Quantum
For anyone who is interested, here's the entire 107 page that the law firm that did the investigation released today. I don't have time to read it all but I've read the open summary and it's pretty heady stuff. I'm really happy this was made public and couldn't be swept under the rug any longer. https://jenner.com/system/assets/assets/11549/original/Report to the Chicago Blackhawks Hockey Team - October 2021.pdf 1 2

He did assault a student at Miami University (Ohio) but then he got a job at Houghton High School in Michigan where he molested the student that got him on the Sex Offender list. Sorry, got those details messed up.

Popular Post PhillipBlunt
Frankly, anyone directly involved in this mess that essentially let this go should be banned for life from the NHL. No meetings with Bettman to determine suitability. Just gone. 1 1

Both should be immediately fired. How either of those organizations keep them on after this is mind boggling to me. Coaches have been fired for calling a player a racial slur (rightfully so). Ignoring them being sexually assaulted for no reason other than pure greed and gain is more heinous. My question is this? Could they not have just fired Aldrich immediately and found a less rapey video coach for the rest of the playoffs that year? Was he really so important to them winning the cup? That they didn’t do anything right away is even worse than allowing it to happen in the first place.
Popular Post Gurn
$2 million dollar fine. Woop de do. Canucks are eating $3 mill of cap space, this year, and all those others; as punishment for a deal that was allowed under the rules 1

The Lock
Actually, to add what I just said, it's even more amazing reading press releases from the people involved as recently as the past couple of months. Like people literally had the ability to come clean about things and "look better" than they do now, but even when presented with that opportunity, they still failed. How much money did Chicago make due to winning the Stanley Cup that year? What money did Kane, Toews, Keith, etc make off the back of it? What money and opportunity did Quenville, Bowman, and Cheveldaeoff get from it. The NHL showed today that sweeping it under the rug then firing a few guys when it comes out a decade later is the best course of action unfortunately. If the 2mil fine says hello, it must be a whisper of a hello coming from underneath an ocean of lies. Might as well have just poked the orgnization with a toothpick.
