Bure_of_94
They should punish Quinnville by making him be an assistant coach to Travis a Green.

Bettman wears this 100% ... There are certain offenses that its common to see forced resignations. This is NOT one of those times The coaches implicated as knowing should have been suspended immediately and indefinitely. Giving them time to say goodbyes and getting one last game is wrong on so many levels The decision to let him coach last night was solely with the Panthers, Bettman is bound by due process. He can’t specifically fire the Panthers coach either, all he can do is tell them that after his meeting, that their coach is no longer allowed to coach in the NHL. It’s up to Florida if they want to keep him around selling peanuts in the stands!

Was Kyle Beach really one of "his" players though? Beach was an AHL'er during the 2010 cup run was he not? Agreed that Quennville is an awful human being, but my guess is that Quenville would have acted very differently had it been one of his main roster players. My guess is that JQ considered the Beach situation a distraction since Beach was "just an AHL player."

Turning a blind eye is horrible. Imagine letting the water boy get raped? Who has as much right not to be raped as any star player... 1 3

No. Real men own it when they realize there is something to own up to. He had a decade of opportunity to own it. I would even have accepted this might be genuine had it been yesterday before he coached again after the Beach video was released. This was done in an effort to leave the door open to another job in hockey. I aint falling for it. 2

That's the trick: our understanding of his "share in it" includes all kinds of things he's denied up until now and still hasn't owned up to publicly. 1

He is going to be answering questions in a civil trial / depositions and possibly even criminal ones based on his letter of recommendation. To be honest it would be foolish for him to be holding press conferences and spilling his guts about every particular. He is out of the game and the more important procedures for justice are on the way down the road. People - fans and media - are focusing a little too much on instant gratification right now. His answers are owed to Kyle Beach in court, not to us in the media. Edited October 29, 2021 by Kevin Biestra

Coconuts
Some Florida fans really be on social media calling this a joke, putting his coaching ability before their organization doing the right thing. Going off about cancel culture. Some people are &^@#ed.
