Him for Minnesota and Hejduk for Colorado in that good old Northwest division. 

Although we dominated that division with the most "division titles" in its existence. These two players were always a headache.

alll LTIR does is replace the player, the only way its considered a hack is if it was exaclty kucherovs situation LAST year

I don't understand all this Cap stuff but there is a reason why teams at the cap were trading for LTIR players (Hossa, Gaborik, ect) it has to do with Trade deadline accusations doesn't it? something about maximizing LTIR cap space. On the opposite end of that it also making the NHL cap floor ie. Buffalo and Johnny Boychuk.
