What's up?  Investigation into what?  Is this another coverup?

Statement from the Ducks:

"We recently became aware of accusations of improper professional conduct against Bob Murray. After internal review, we enlisted Shephard Mullin to perform an independent investigation. Upon recommendation from their initial findings, we have decided to place Bob on administrative leave pending final results. In the interim, Vice President of Hockey Operations and Assistant General Manager Jeff Solomon will assume the role of Interim General Manager. We will have no further comment until the investigation is complete."

I wonder if the police are involved too?

Good on the Ducks for doing things properly while the investigation takes place.

Indeed. Though seeing how things went with the Blackhawks, not sure any team has a choice but to handle such instances carefully now.

That is a good thing. The culture is slowly changing.

The days of reckoning for the privileged power holders must be making a lot of people in the league take pause - wondering when they'll be held accountable next.

If nothing else, this should at least keep the standards of professional conduct conversation front and centre in people's minds.

As in he was the victim/target of the improper conduct?

A plus one to the Ducks for not using the word "matter" to describe what is going on.

They're also placing Murray on leave, rather than waiting for the league to make a decision for them.

Still very early, but so far the Ducks seem to be handling this better than Chicago.
