Popular Post -DLC-
6 p.m., Ball Arena TV: Sportsnet. Radio: Sportsnet 650AM I see no one has signed up so I'll get this going. Line ups will be posted later by someone much better at this than me. VANCOUVER CANUCKS (5-6-2, 7th in Pacific Division) at COLORADO AVALANCHE (4-5-1, 6th in Central Division) 6 p.m., Ball Arena TV: Sportsnet. Radio: Sportsnet 650AM WHY WATCH The Avalanche remain one of the league’s best teams, even if their superstar is absent. The list of stars just seems to go on, and on, and on… Landeskog, Kadri, Compher, Byram, Burakovsky, Makar, Rantanen. All players any team would love to have in their lineup. The Canucks have played well in two straight games and are confident that they’re on the right course. We’re two weeks out from American Thanksgiving, the early-season marker that has proven reliable to gauge a team’s true playoff chances. The Canucks need to start stringing wins together. POINTS LEADERS 1. Gabriel Landeskog GP 8 G 4 A 6 PTS 10 (+6) 2. Nazem Kadri GP 10 G 3 A 7 PTS 10 (-2) 3. Nathan MacKinnon GP 8 G 1 A 9 PTS 10 (-3) 1. J.T. Miller GP 13 G 6 A 9 PTS 15 (+3) 2. Quinn Hughes GP 12 G 2 A 10 PTS 12 (+6) 3. Conor Garland GP 13 G 3 A 8 PTS 11 (+5) SPECIAL TEAMS AVALANCHE: PP 10.5% (31st) PK 84.6% (11th) CANUCKS: PP 17.7% (19th) PK 65% (31st) THREE THINGS ABOUT THE OPPOSITION • No MacKinnon. One of the most exhilarating players in the game will be out three weeks after suffering a lower-body injury Saturday against Columbus. MacKinnon has only scored once this season and missed the first two games of the campaign because he tested positive for COVID-19 in the waning days of preseason. J.T. Compher stepped into MacKinnon’s usual spot between Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen in Tuesday’s practice. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * • Special teams Nothing to see here • More injury worries. Fighting injuries has been a Canucks problem for many years — strange how constantly chasing the game puts players’ bodies under pressure — but the high-flying Avalanche go into this game battling a bit of an injury bug. Both Cale Makar and Valeri Nichushkin are question marks heading into Thursday. Makar missed all of preseason and then the last two games with an undisclosed injury. Nichuskin has been out since getting hurt in the season opener. Avs head coach Jared Bednar suggested earlier this week that he thinks the star defenceman and the quality checking winger will both be ready to go to face the Canucks. https://theprovince.com/sports/hockey/nhl/vancouver-canucks/canucks-game-night-no-mackinnon-reduces-avalanche-risk-only-a-little 11 7

Edge_Case
Tonight’s the night that it all comes together. They’ve been playing well and imho they’ve deserved a better fate. The breaks even out over a long season,
Popular Post wallstreetamigo
Let’s go Canucks! Full 60 minute effort and a PP that moves and a PK that pressures more. Get it done. 4
I.Am.Ironman
Important game to start off the road trip and put a disappointing home stand behind us. A win against the Avs should do good for the confidence of the team. Them not having Mackinnon is an opportunity that we can hopefully capitalize on. 1
Popular Post IBatch
My Grandad fought in Dieppe, North Africa, Italy and Germany. He's my hero. Same with my Dad. The greatest generation made the world we live in a brighter place for the war babies, baby boomers, gen x, and all the rest. We owe them our gratitude for even being able to watch NHL games right now possibly. And a huge shout out for all those NHLers in Canada and the US that took off their skates, and went and fought for the freedoms we enjoy today. But especially my Grandad. A real hero. Sedintwinpowersactivate
Lest we forget. Thank you to our soldiers today. Hopefully the PK will learn to stop screening our goalies and stop allowing cross seam passes through the middle. If that happens we have a great chance to win. The team is finally showing signs of turning it around 5 on 5.

Ur a Towel
Seems like every time we play the Avs it's a high scoring game. I expect the same this time around even if the Avs are without Mack. Our PK really needs to improve though but as bad as it's been, somehow we're not last in the league. Both the Jets and Coyotes have a worse percentage.

Hope they don’t come out flat to start the game.

Hairy Kneel
Try Podz on the PK Try Hughes as a forward on the PK esp if we get a few in a row keeping Huggy off the ice. Try stuff if it's not working
