This is something I was wondering a few games ago, but with the Canucks coming off two games in which they showed really good effort, outshooting their opponents by a combined 79-58 and only losing one of them because of an outstanding goaltending performance by John Gibson, this seems to be a strange time to ask this question.  Generally teams whose coaches have lost the room aren't outworking and outshooting their opponents.

Now if you were to ask again a week from now ...

Why are you so proud of playing well vs Dallas and Anaheim is beyond me.

What I don’t understand is, outside of the bubble, what has this group actually achieved on the ice in the past 5 years? Where have they noticeably improved, performance-wise, on the ice since Green started as HC? They had a nice little run in the bubble, but that completely looks like an outlier. The exception not the rule.

At least Willie D had a 100 pt season and a legit playoff appearance under his belt. There was every reason to believe, without the pandemic, the team was trending the wrong way in ‘19-‘20 and would’ve missed the playoffs that season too. Something HAS to change.

It's funny, everytime there is a "No Brainer" poll like this, where the answer is obvious to "NORMAL" people, there is always about 10-12% that can't see the light, are too hard headed and/or afraid to admit defeat.   Donnie & Dhali had a similar poll today on their show asking: who should be fired in the Canucks organization and the same 11% said keep Jim B & green, while the other 89% of "NORMAL" people said get rid of one or both of them.

Is this fringe percentage Coincidence???   NO - this is the same percentage you will always see in any no brainer/common sense poll and is also the same percentage of Anti-Vaxers, Flat earth and Area-51 believers and that is no coincidence!

Green has zero Humility.

Doesn't know how to work the room.

He's lead by fear, benching, demotion, waiver wire.

I don't think leading by threats/fear work in today's NHL. Even Torts had to adjust. Green has no people skills. If he was a waiter he'd make the least tips every night.

Ask yourself this: do you have any idea who is going to come out on a line together the next shift?

The answer is obviously no. The lines are different every shift. Thats insane. Players hate being blended around like this. They want chemistry, and Green doesn't know how to build it.

Also, Schmidt sucked here and is now almost a ppg in Winnipeg. OEL is nowhere near a 40pt pace right now, and we were all expecting 40-50 this year from him. Our pk is a passive diamond, year after year. Baumer is not an NHL coach. He's misusing players and lacks knowledge of systems. The defensive system literally hasn't changed in the last how many years? How can else all see this but the coaches can't?

Benning has built a great team. Our coaches are killing us.

I'm not sure I would say Green lost the room. The players seem to support Green.

I think he has it but he is limited in his abilities to coach, adapt and prepare his own team to be able to play against other team's systems.

I just don't think he is a good NHL coach.

I think tonight’s game will tell us whether or not Green has lost the room.

It’s not so much whether they win or lose this game, but what kind of effort we see over 60 minutes or more.

Anything short of this team responding, playing for each other, and for their coaching staff, will pretty much definitively tell us where their heads are at.

I can’t imagine any of the players not realizing that their coaches’ jobs are now on the line.
