Also, is that even Garland. I mean he does 1 good hit in game 2 of the season and everyone gets all excited.. like he is some mini mack truck.. then nothing since.

Green probably straightened him out after that.

I think he's more of an offensive engine than an engine that offends.

You don't think he'd be an upgrade over useless trash like Chiasson?

No, it is far more likely it would result in no change.

I get it getting some free toughness would be helpful to the team, but common this would really do nothing overall for the Canucks right now. Our core is struggling a lot and we need to score, I don't think a guy that is unable to crack the lineup for 30 NHL teams is our answer.

He at least does something of use, unlike the AHL trash our coach is throwing out there right now.

Blah blah blah fire everyone I'm an angry fan is all I'm hearing. I get it you're choked I'm choked we are all choked.

I'd like to see Petan get a shot up here. He can't be worse than the bottom six we've got right now.

I expect a closer game against the Avs, though, with that being said, I would not be shocked if we were run out of our own building tomorrow.

It's almost gotten to the point where if the team takes a penalty, they believe that they'll get scored on, because the PK has been so bad. I hope they've been practicing the PK during practice, because that's one that is killing us.

Why this team's cohesiveness is so dysfunctional is beyond me, because they have so much talent in their top nine (or should).

Their defense isn't even that bad. It's not great, but it's far from being the worse in the league.

We were lost when management extended Green.

I was flabbergasted that they retained a coach who has such a similar winning record as Willie freaking Desjardins. At the very least he had a stellar first season before going downwards. Green has been mediocre from start to finish, and Benning or whoever decides he was worth a two year contract.

Benning really did himself a disservice after all the work he did this offseason to fix the team. He might never get another chance.

I thought he was going to be aggressive with a new coach too

I remember thinking EP probably saved his job 2+ years ago and ironically  it may be EP's play and Canucks play that do that now

Having some deja vu. He was a Leaf prior right? For all of like 20 games. Guy's physicality has fallen off a cliff. I am guessing his skating is gone so he can't really catch anyone with a hit. Guy is an AHLer now. Should fit right in on their bottom 6. Hell, sadly he'd fit in with our AHL 4th line. Excluding Motter of course. The only 4th liner we have worth a damn.
