Nothing. This is next season when he's UFA and not sure he is affordable. If we could get him for $1.5m or less then OK, but I still worry about how many games he misses.

Can’t imagine they want to give up futures for rentals and the value seems rather off.  They also insist that they only want players who are committed and will be proud to wear the jersey.  Tuch was a Buffalo fan growing up and sounds legit excited to go there.  

 

Boeser can just sign his qualifying offer at 7.5M and become UFA the season after.  Laine did just that with how poorly his season went but contrary to Boeser he will still be RFA.

 

Sure. They could be traded elsewhere, just more a concept of trying to find better complementary pieces for our core AND making the 2022 Canucks a team that no one wants to play against (i.e. balance of skill and toughness) where OEL doesn't have to be our only enforcer. Hell with Deslauriers, Manson, McNabb in the lineup maybe Horvat might even man-up and pushback as a leader knowing he has some backup.
