So far Hoglander has shown to be a good neutral zone player but not a finisher once he gets into the offensive zone. Reminds me so much of Mason Raymond 2.0 as a shifty guy who can carry the puck through the middle of the ice but needs to learn how to fight through the tough checking once he gains the zone.

I think all the naysayers will be loving Brock once again after he pops 30 this year.

The point being if it came down to moving one of boeser or garland, it shouldn't even be a contest

I can think of a few posters who will never accept Brock.

I ate some prawns recently.  They were tasty!  Lol.  Brock is an avenue that could keep us Miller.  And Horvat.

pure fantasy sh!t but what do we have left .

To Vegas: Varlamov

To Islanders: Miller 33% retained, Nils Hoglander

To Vancouver: Scott Mayfield, Ivan Morozov, 2nd round pick 2024 VGK, 3rd round pick 2023 VGK, Lukas Cormier

Re-unite Kuzie - Morozov - Pods as a 3rd line - depth wise Canucks get a young, RH C with decent size

Try Mayfield as an upgrade on Schenn with Quinn, extend him if it's working

Lots of futures for the Canucks

Isles clear cap for their boi Kadri while still boosting their offense

Vegas gets a solid, 1A goalie for Morozov, Cormier, 2nd round pick, 3rd round pick. Not a bad deal for them, but they are also functioning as a cap relief in this situation

Millsy goes close to home

Pure fantasy is right.

Allvin would never accept that little for Miller.

You trade us Miller. We give you a few baseball cards, a sack of marble, a dead parakeet

Can we get some pocket lint with that too? Or at the very least an order of some future consids on the side?

I think if we’re trading out JTM we aren’t  necessarily packaging someone with him.  Any of the contender teams will want to keep their cap down for other moves, and although I like Hogs, he just doesn’t add much value in trade and is a great depth piece for us to hold on to (pending return of course).

But good work on that proposal.

And why would he take 6 years?

Cause he believes we are a young team on the rise and he loves the "all situations" role he plays here. 50 mill is a lot of dinero!

If he wants to cash out big next year, the teams with money to offer him his most lucrative contract look to be the likes of:

Det, Ana, Buf, Ari, Chi. All those teams are further than we are from challenging for a playoff spot and are years away from competing. Of the 2 teams that would make the most sense out of that group (Det and Ana) I don't see Stevie Y forking out huge dollars to sign JT and maybe Ana takes a swing and the lifestyle of California could draw JT away. Other than that scenario, I think JT would choose to stay in Van, even if he is not getting what he sees as top market value.

Teams always make room.
