He is not strong I guess is a better way to explain it and the team could stand to add more heavy players.

Patel Bure
Not a fan of Fiala. We already have enough small and soft players on this team. Hard pass. 1
Popular Post kanucks25
For what it's worth, latest 32 Thoughts Podcast talked about Fiala really rubbing his teammates the wrong way. Probably the reason he got traded out of Nashville and probably the reason the Wild aren't married to him. If the locker room is an actual problem in Vancouver, he's not the solution. If we're trading a forward it should be for a D-man, anyway. 1 2

rekker
I'm good with trading JT. But he has been scoring at a good pace for us, power forward, plays center. The return better be top notch, or forget it. 1 1

If you look at their respective numbers it's not like Fiala's ahead of Boeser. If the Wild are looking to move Fiala for the second time in his young career I'd be questioning why. I just don't understand how he'd improve the squad. 1

Greenway under the right coach could be a beast and we need some bigger bodies. Interesting article, Kuzma is speaking like he actually knows something. Benning has used him before to float trial balloons in the media too. Still I don't see how that helps us immediately or going forward with cap implications. We aren't a better team right away and Greenway is also an RFA and will likely be looking for a raise as well. You can't expect to afford these two guys and Hog/Pod moving forward without dumping Boeser somewhere.
5nothincanucksohno
Wait for trade deadline when the returns increase...trading for future RFA does nothing for this team tomorrow or next year.
Popular Post Master Mind
I feel that Fiala's scoring run a while back plus the play-in round has increased his perceived value to some. I'm not that sold on him, and don't think he's who we should be targeting. If a Miller trade is seriously being considered before a coaching change, I think that's a clear sign a GM change needs to happen first... 1 1 1

Boeser has a 7.5M qualifying offer and Fiala's is only 5.1M. Boeser hasn't been better than Fiala.
Coconuts
I'm all for moving Miller, but not for an underwhelming return. He's our best trade piece, if teams want him they'd better be prepared to pay up or shop elsewhere. Young NHL quality D with top 4 potential, blue chip prospects, high picks. Maybe a top end 3c with additional pieces, we need one. But no, not a lateral move. 1

I also think this article is being used to put it out there that Miller is available. I'd imagine Jim's phone is busy.
flickyoursedin
Yeah I love Fiala but if we’re trading Miller we need to target young dmen or young centers. We have an abundance of good wingers. Getting Fiala would just make a winger we have redundant and then we’ll have to trade somebody we do have for a dman or center which teams will ask for the moon on those premium positions. Popular Post Devron
Fiala is supremely overrated. He doesn’t help us at all. Centermen and Defencemen helps this team. Not a subtract a Center for a winger 4 1 2
NHL97OneTimer
Gawd I hope these rumours aren't true. If so, I have to wonder if Miller is a huge turd behind closed doors. I'm sure Miller would fetch more than the rumoured offers. If there's something we've proven, the Canucks should look for more defensive help with any looming trades. Boeser has a good reputation tho, and that QO isn't a deal breaker imo. I think Brock would still bring that kind of return.
