wallstreetamigo
I can see Boeser being traded for whoever is the most Sutter-like out there that’s overpaid and garbage.

No reason at all to trade a core player without firing Green first and seeing how this team does with better coaching. Benning tied his wagon to Green. Rather than jeopardize his own job he doubles down on green and starts pointing at players. Any trade he makes will be a panic move to keep his own job. And that’s when you know it’s time to fire your GM. Ideally BEFORE he makes that trade. Edited November 23, 2021 by wallstreetamigo 1 5

Moves Podz or Hodz up and throws the grinder in. I don’t see it as beneficial. Easy yes. But what does easy get this team?

If Benning brings in a coach that can get this team on track, then he’s done his job. He’s brought in pieces for any competent coach to build a winning team with. Blender is a blunder and not an effective long term coaching method or solution to the Nucks woes.

Exactly. It's an easy deal to make, Jimmy can move money, and sell it to fans. Buys him a job and time.

I think Benning is worse than Green but when your team is in 27th place you're arguing about poo from different piles.

Who hired Green? That's what I don't get. If you hired a coach 20 games ago that you now need to replace you are incompetent.

His QO will still keep him an RFA. UFA is the earliest between age 27 and 7 pro years (40 games per season to count). He will turn 25 this coming February and is in his 5th pro-season towards UFA. Needs 2 more seasons after this one. Edited November 23, 2021 by mll 2

Kobayashi Maru
Not buying into this rumour being valid, however if we did a hockey trade with Minny could we see Boeser traded for Fiala (Change of scenery deal) or Dumba (Greater positional need). We may need to add for Dumba, however if we were able to pull that off: Ekman-Larsson - Dumba Hughes - Hamonic Rathbone - Poolman/Myers

What is an unrestricted free agent (UFA)? A player becomes a free agent when their contract expires on July 1 after the last League Year of their contract. Any player who meets the following requirements becomes an unrestricted free agent (UFA): Is 27 years of age on June 30 of the contract expiry year Has seven (7) Accrued Seasons where an Accrued Season is earned when the player was on the clubs active roster for 40 Regular Season games (30 if the player is a goaltender). Games missed due to a hockey related injury will count towards an accrued season in the season of the injury, plus one additional season after the injury. EdgarM
I think the rumor is valid. We have 3 players "mailing it in" and Boes is one of them. He may be part of the Cancer which is causing a lot of our issues. The Coach is unable to fix it so he has to go too.
