Warhippy
Let's blow it up closer to the deadline shall we. Maximize the value of the following players closer towards the deadline instead of now. Miller to NYR for B Schnieder, F Chytil and a conditional 1st (conditional on the Rags making the playoffs or it turns in to a 2nd) or Miller to the NYI for N Dobson, S Holmstrom and a 1st Boeser to Minny for Greenway and a 2nd and 4th IF, and I do mean IF we do the NYR deal first, sub that 1st for K'Andre Miller and trade him with Boeser to Minni and have Minni make it a full 1st or 2nd in 2022 and 2023 from Minni The true benefit here is maximizing value of players we have little hope of retaining. Miller will be $7+ million, Boeser will want $6.5+ million and the likelihood both walk is pretty good. Miller will net us our largest return without question. Trade him first. If perchance we do the NYR deal, being able to trade K. Miller and Boeser to Minni gives them two local boys and obtains us a few extra picks and big ol Greenway (who people seem) Just boredom things here
mll
13M + 15M + 15M - that's the buyouts on the books starting next season for Parise/Suter (vs 5M this season). Greenway and Fiala are on the block because they are wingers and they have wingers in the system. Cap space is going to be extremely tight and they can't be spending on wing when they have such a glaring need at C. Their interest is in Miller not Boeser as stated by Kuzma (and Russo who didn't mention Boeser as the Wild don't need wingers but are looking for a C). They are looking to make a hockey trade with the rumoured offer being for Fiala. The Wild are in a rebuild so they aren't looking to part with picks or prospects but rather see if they can improve their team through a hockey trade. Miller is simply a better fit than Fiala. Their C depth is terrible and they don't want to rush prospects. He's also cost controlled and can bridge the gap to Rossi. Master Mind
No way either NY team would pay that much, especially with the cap implications.
Nicklas Bo Hunter
if we are trading with NYR it needs to be for Nils lundqvist.

They are looking to possibly move Fiala and Greenway because they are wingers. They don't need a winger in return as they have winger prospects. They need a top-6 C and Miller can play C. They are going to be in a cap crunch with the buyout cap hits. Allocating money to wing when there is a glaring need at C doesn't really work. Kuzma in his article even states that the Wild aren't interested in Boeser. Guerin doesn't believe in bringing players home. He even complained about their country club atmosphere where he felt they had players who wanted to be at home vs coming to Minnesota for hockey reasons. Guerin has confirmed that he couldn't care less where players are from. The state of Minnesota has the most NHLers so it's not like a local player is some kind of rarity - they actually have a few but have also shipped a few out under Guerin. The more I think about it, the more I don't want to move Miller for those guys. We have to get C or D back for Miller imo. Looking at the Islanders, e.g., they could also use Miller, and if there were some way of getting Dobson in that deal I'd be giddy. NYI are really struggling but they also may already be done this year too sot thats probably an even less likely deal.
