Green and Team have wrecked many players at this point.

I really see that for what it is.  There's no other explanation for multiple players all struggling.  And the ones who leave finding their games.

I think you are over reacting Deb. Was there any doubt that Edler, Tanev and Marty would not do well when they left? No, I don’t think so. They were moved for Cap reasons and having to make hard choices for where the team wanted to be in 2-3 years out.  I am more upset over Gadjovich than any other move. Maybe Mac. Why would we expect players like Petey, Hogs and Hughes to have the mental NHL toughness that is only gained by experiencing what they are going thru right now. This team went into the season with a d-side game that was not playoff quality and by assumption not playoff quality players. The positives were offence expectation and a strong net. We got the net but not much else.

I am not one for blowing things up. Making playoffs is not the be all for me. It is about development and evaluation. Sounds like a broken record but there it is. If the team underperforms into spring then move the players out who have wilted and re-evaluate the management. I do agree with some that not having a separate President of Operations is not good.

Yeah because a big move out of desperation always works out…

The big move should be firing the refool that put this group including the coach together.

schmidt wasn’t the only one that wasn’t happy here there were others all fingers point to an inept coach and a terrible GM.

chiasson petan doweling highmore hunt

14 regulation wins since February

The worst start to a season since 97 ouch

a mountain of Pathetic excuses

no players will want to come here if JB isnt thrown away like he’s done to so Many picks and prospects.

i hope the big move is jim getting what he deserves and being fired but I fear it’s more like a move that will hurt us for years to come which seem to be his specialty.

So trade the teams leading scorer when the teams struggling to score Jb answer lol. That says just how incompetent a fool he is. we will get some bottom six trusted veterans foundational plugs back.

Nice Big Mac.

He did not play that way in pre-season.

But, like every player on this team....

I. Blame. Green.

I swear I have even noticed Garland curbing his pesky style.

Green sucks the soul out of NHL players.

I also fear for Bo, he has been under Green for so long that he has lost something. I don't remember that last time he had some good rushes at the net with his classic Bo-drag.

Yep.

Bo is skating like he's in a Stepford Wives TV show. He's a shadow of his old self. And only reveals himself in the playoffs or sometimes in the last few minutes of a close game.

How has development been under Green?  Seen much improvement from Pettersson, Boeser, or Hughes since their rookie seasons?

The preseason was for evaluation and Green should have been fired on the spot for how badly he butchered the opening day roster.

Exactly how I feel. There’s no other plausible explanation for basically every former Canuck succeeding on their new teams. If it was 1 or 2 guys you could say it’s a fluke or give credit to their new organization giving them a lift, but other than our AZ trades across the board our former players are rebounding on whatever team they play for. That just doesn’t happen unless there’s something very wrong going on here. We’ve seen the coaching disagreements between our players and leaders with our own two eyes and it ain’t just happening for 1 or 2 games, it consistently occurs. It’s very clear we have an obvious problem on the bench and his name is Travis Green.

We need a head coach that can create a system around the players we have that plays to their individual strengths, not create a system and try to cram our players into it.
