Don't you all agree we are still lacking toughness out there? 

We definitely need toughness, but Kane isn't the answer. Last thing we need is to throw a variable like Kane into the dressing room while they're trying to figure it out with a new coach., too much can go wrong.

He may not be the answer but its a very good start!! If you look at the team, who will drop their gloves to stick up for their teammates? Its sad, but even our Captain Horvat skated and just looked at Podz when he was head hunted!! That just tells you no one is willing to drop the gloves but Kane would in this instant. And this is why every team loves to play against us and they take advantage knowing that.

That may have been the culture under Green, but things may very well be different under Boudreau. Does he strike you as the type to want his guys taking things laying down? Because that's now how he comes off to me. 

 

Also, if Hamonic and OEL are out for any length of time Schenn will draw in. And yes, Schenn will and has thrown down for the Canucks. Reaves and Wilson may be the only guys currently playing with more fights to their name. 

 

Needless to say, I don't see any roster moves being made til coaching and management get a better idea of what they've got in this roster. And if Hamonic and OEL are out for any length of time it'll probably be a D we bring in.

So Sharks end up with a 6.75M cap hit for the next 2 seasons + a 3rd at 3.5M.  They look better off to just buy him out.

Are people really even considering that Kane would be brought in?!!!  History speaks and repeats.  Hard no.  Too much at stake here.

 

Brock will likely be moved as the first domino towards a solid defenseman.  Unfortunately nobody gives those guys up easily so we may not like it but JR will likely do what JR does to get the D we need.
