BureBurrito
Say no to Bergevin. Maybe Mellanby.... Aqua being a meddling owner/self titled president would NEVER hire Jeff Gorton (who was fired by a meddling owner in NY). Must be nice to have an owner who has a clear direction, money to spare, and doesn't put up with spiralling losing (just last year they made the Finals)... Bergevin didn’t do great with roster building but he almost always got great value in his trades He did. He could manage a high pressure job with ease. He'd be perfect here. He made good hockey trades. Just didn't draft that good.

Labatt got bought out by Interbrew and Interbrew is now AB InBev. The Vancouver team would have been owned by a series of deep pocket owners. Might not have even had the same name. But the Vancouver Seals would have been weird. I think we were supposed to be in the round of expansion before 1971 but the Toronto Maple Leafs vetoed it. As if one didn't need a reason to hate the Laffs.

Trevor Timmins has been Bergevin’s long time head of amateur scouting and when promoted to AGM a few years ago kept the responsibility of overseeing their amateur scouting. ey40
They fired the GM and the coach whose team went to the Cup Final last year. And the Canucks still has their GM and coach who brought the team to no where except the basement of the standing in the last 8 years.
