He's an average 2C, Couturier comparisons are straight from the agent, paying him more than 6.5 would be a mistake.

Exactly, I agree. Bo could net us a good top 4 rhd if he does a sign and trade, unlikely that happens but we can't have 3 C's make well over 6 or 7m each. OEL and Myers is also eating up too much cap but we are stuck with them. Once the cap jumps up hopefully we can fix some holes on our team, but as long as Boudreau is the coach we will get to watch fun offensive hockey but the D side of things is going to be horrendous

Could be posturing, but it seems a lot like communication has seized between the two sides and Bo is not willing to negotiate throughout the season. That was the impression I got from this short clip.

If true, then Canucks need to trade him.  Can’t lose him for nothing.  Can’t sign him to an outrageous contract either.

That wasn't it at all, but whatever champ.

maybe, maybe, watch the game from last nite and watch how horvat stumbled, did a couple of arm flailing spins, give up and get scored on short handed?

Anytime chief, glad to educate those that are less intelligent.

So, what is it exactly that is reassuring you that BO is going to explode into this 80-90+ point player?  What part of his game are you seeing where he can get to Miller's level?  You do realize that in order for BO to get to 90 points he is going to have to get ALOT more assists, right?  Unless you are thinking he can become a 50-goal scorer.  What part of BO's game do you see where he can get 50-60 assists?

I'm genuinely curious as BO has never gotten more than 34 assists in one season and he's not a very good passer like Miller and Petey.  He's a very good goal scorer, but not particularly good at passing the puck which is why he plays the bumper spot on the PP.

Petey got a long leash after coming of an injury to start last season.

Too bad Bo doesn't get the same.

Omg shut up already. Its one f***ing game. The guys career has been spent in a god damn rebuild and you’re expecting playoffs each year? HE WAS THE ONLY F***ING PROSPECT TO TURN INTO AN NHLER FROM 2005-2013. Jesus. Take your jersey off and go cheer for Toronto.

It's going to be more years of rebuild and no playoffs with this guy as captain. Yes, the team was in rebuild for his entire career but that needs to say something about him too as he cant lead this group to take the next step. I don't expect playoffs every year but like most Canuck fans I am sick and tired of not making the playoffs every fucking year and no, the covid bubble playoffs don't count.

How does 1 player lead the dead weight of an organization without ANY help. It took us 5 years to gather talent. We’ve had 2 playoff appearances since drafting Bo. We also would have been a playoff team the last 2 seasons if we didnt get royally screwed by COVID and if our star players like Pettersson who had 24 pointless games in the first 41 games of the season last year, showed up on time. Cant blame it all on Horvat. Pettersson had less than 35 good games last season

Agent says Horvat is a #1C. Only one 60 point season says otherwise.

No wonder they are far apart.

It’s a negotiation tactic. I mean he would be a no.1 Center on a number of teams

I count 5. Though Schmaltz did have a 0.93 PPG last year. (0.76 is Horvats career high)

Arizona (Schmaltz)

Chicago (Toews)

Columbus (Sillinger)

Minnesota (Eriksson EK)

Seattle (Beniers)
