Who said move him at a loss?

How are you going to move him otherwise? Do you think you’re going to get full value for him considering his age and the contract that he has?

Yes.  We will get great value for any of our players.

That’s “how are WE going to move him”.  We are talking about our team, right?  The team we all put ahead of all others, and want to win, no?

You move him for fair value and maybe take a contract back to offset money, he’s cost controlled and still a valueable player around the league, especially for the right team.

He can be moved for more than a “loss”

Of course he can, and (if that what we want to do) we will.  JR got a third for Hamonic!

Watching TO dominate Col right now.   Col is noticeably weaker down the middle without Kadrina - they need BoHo for any hope of another deep run.  Money could easily work if we retained 50% on Bo's expiring deal and took on another expiring deal like Comphers.

Heard the have this ex Giant in their system....

I doubt we’ll see.  I honestly don’t think they’ll even try to move him

They don't have to be hot commodities, maybe a team just wants to add a bit of depth here or there.

Yup...something like Pears for expiring Foligno from Boston for example. They get a better player, we clear next year's cap.

He theoretically CAN be moved.  But you need to find a team that has cap space and doesn’t see his extension as a negative.  Problem is. Teams with cap flexibility are generally young rebuilding teams with a core in their early 20’s. A soon to be 30 year old player on a retirement contract is going to have limited appeal.  It’s a tough deal to make

Any "win now" team with the need/fit for him would happily trade for him. He's still a +/1PPG power forward who can win draws/play C in a pinch and is signed to a below market value extension (while on an expiring bargain deal).

Team's make room for guys like that all the time. Some cap going back with a lesser player in the trade, other expiring cap, cap increase and maybe another trade and voila, he fits moving forward.

He's easily moveable IMO...if we want to. Now that's another debate. They don't strike be as being too foolish or proud to not course correct a mistake...but that doesn't mean they feel like extending him was a mistake either...

I don’t think our owner will allow a BoHO Trade.  But if there is one he might accept, it’s if we got back local boy Byram.

Miller locked up does not mean Horvat cannot be.

eh, it pretty much means Horvat can't be. they don't have the space to keep both. and besides, it doesn't seem like they can come to a contractual agreement on money. Bo probably is now looking for at least what Miller's making, probably more given his pace and game now.

Maybe they have too many hits to the head as well

if we're trading Bo, best bet is to try to get a RHD coming back this year.

Also if we could get Livingstone from the NCAA, that would be huge to the depth of the right side for defense. Would be better than what we got right now.

think the WWF mind set has crept into the current fiasco that is this years implosion in the wake of Demko’s injury, as he was the driving factor that made all else possible.

exposing the weakness that management left in place, knowing Demko was not 100% and Hughes and Myers both started the season injured, from the push last year too.

Kesler was the same way when he sulked his way out of here.

I guess it’s a habit that some guys from Ohio think is okay?

they hate losing and cannot accept their own actions as part of losing.  Kesler would rather die than left a player beat him 1 vs 1, but that is why he retired so broken physically.

No million dollar athletes, especially ones that just signed mega deals need to sulk and act like spoiled children on the field of play.

JT Miller is obviously sour because he is being out preformed by Bo and that is making his lack of productivity as compared to last year, and back checking, which is worse than last year.

Winning is what I though was important to JT Miller.

I also think if you watch Bruce’s interview prior to JT’s, clearly every player in the locker room should see that and feel shame.

Idk the motivation behind the coaching psychology that Bruce was employing after the Stick Smash of 2022, but it by design or by result makes Miller the goat for this year, after both Miller and Bruce played major roles in each other’s success last year.

Miller is now the player that makes resigning Bo impossible.  Maybe Kuzemenko?

From number one player to team cancer to asshole that wants out and uses his NMC to his advantage or worse, forces his being traded to a division rival with crap return… sorry, I think I was reminiscing.

Miller is going to make not trading him impossible.

He is acting like a child, as he did not take his negative vibes and use them to do anything but cost the team last night in Calgary.

That terrible effort on the point after he gave it away on a PP!

I was wrong!

so I will admit it.

Rutherford and Alvin should be asking him to waive and see if NVR and or Columbus wants him.

He is from Ohio, so he could want to play in Columbus, which isn’t a strange thought as Johnny Hockey signed there.

Whatever made him work last year as a team member and in the local room is currently backfiring and after last night he should be benched.

Tell McDonough’s Agent there is a wide open top six left wing spot and PP minutes available with the Canucks.

crazy when you think of the plethora of wingers and left wingers listed on the roster that all have good numbers, high picks and or injured and playing on the farm atm.

why does everyone want Byram? the kid has concussion issues.

When was the last time Byram played? Well over a month but I don't think it is concussion this time.

November 5.  I'd stay away from him.  He's too injury prone and is one good hit from being out for a year or more...
