The argument was about what salary Bo would get compared to Miller. Agents kinda play a big role in that negotiation process. You’re either arguing for the sake of arguing or just dense.

Should be able to move Myers at TDL if not before. LL loves Bo I like this proposal. I also don’t want to lose Bo. If Bo won’t sign to a reasonable deal then we need to explore things like this. As far as I see, he seems to love it here like Miller, let’s see how much…. Edited September 3, 2022 by grandmaster

You gotta give to get, and the gettin' is good here.

But if we still look a bit weak on the D as the season progresses, I think something like this may be considered to fix the situation. It will take a player from us of Bo’s caliber to directly get that return. I think a player like Myers could bring a prospect with potential , (NJ Bahl- Mukhamadullin) or a decent draft pick at Xmas or the TDL , but that scenario will only happen if a team has been hampered by injuries or needs the vet presence. What is going to be more interesting is to see how some of our new acquisitions do or don’t out play some of our more established players. We are in a great spot actually.. perfect to move ahead with and assess . 1

Either he gets signed to an extension or he gets traded (by the TDL at the very latest…but earlier the better).

I think after all that Bo has been through with this club, that he’s been ordained as captain, and that this team has given him his career thus far, plus now that we seem to have built a very solid group of players with a bright future, I just can’t envision him not wanting to see this through and what can be accomplished. He’ll re-sign and be as consistent as ever. Edited September 3, 2022 by RWJC
Devron
We all wasted our time for practically a year making Miller trade proposals. We be wasting our time in this one too. I’ll say it again. Bo is a Canuck for life!

If He plans on having Miller Petey Horvat down middle he better get on some deals to move out Garland Boeser for Top 6 defencemen with getting rid of Dickson cap hit. If they lock up horvat they essentially have no cap going into next offseason with bottom 15 Defence.
Sophomore Jinx
Just a thought on those who think BO can be had in the 6-6.5 range, (or even 7.0), this article shows some comparables and is pretty indicative of what he may be commanding. Probably obvious to all of us, but still a reminder and a rough estimate of where things may be at in negotiations. Extension candidate: Canucks captain Bo Horvat (msn.com)

Are you suggesting that Bo can't get 7M on the open market, or that he should barely get a pay rise after suffering with this team the last 8years? I'll be very surprised, if he doesn't get between 6.5-7 for most likely 7-8 years. Bo is better at FO and has been playing with lots of scrubs as wingers, while Miller has played with EP in particular. I do think there's a chance that Bo goes from something in the low 50s over 8 years. He's already made 31 million, and can see that Miller just left money on the table. Bo might end up with more bonus money than Miller.
