OEL has been a battler for us and has stuck up for his teammates despite being a new player and the organization being a complete tire fire... he still shows up. Disappointing a teammate didn't show up for him. Marchand was taking runs at him all night.

Same here. I could somewhat understand players being hesitant if Chara, Lucic, McQuaid and those other beasts were still on the team....but what Bruin is a major deterrent like those guys these days? Coyle? Carlo?  I seem to remember Horvat going toe to toe against Coyle and coming out on top. 

 

Good point about OEL. He's stood up for teammates numerous times in this young, hideous season, yet no one sent Shartface a message. Such a pathetic state of affairs. Truly embarrassing.

Sadly, we have no one on the team that is willing to skate by the Bruins, in this case, bench and say; " Pasta, I'm going to break your fingers if you don't call of your rat".

Smacking Marchand around will do nothing, running the oppositions best players through the boards and out of the game would though.

That has more to do with the entirety of NHL officials being horrible at their jobs than they having a specific issue with the Canucks, at least in my humble opinion.

They did nothing but get softer.

Many times, there's a even a compilation video of it on YouTube. 

 

Subban hit might have been the biggest, incredible body check as Marchand entered the zone at full speed. He whimpered to the bench while bent over.
