Prove they are meddling

Well.

They fired the coach first.  Hired Boudreau.   Then fired JB.  At least that's the order on how I saw the tweets pop up.

Cuz isn't it the GM job to fire the coach?  And isn't it the new GM job to hire the new coach?

Weren't they fired on the same day? Did they fire the coach first or did it just leak get announced that way?

Not sure.  Like I said, we heard about the coach being fired first.

And like I mentioned, Aquilini fired Green, not the GM.  Aquilini hired the new coach, not the new GM (or interim GM).

To me, that sounds like meddling.  But he's the owner and can do whatever.

With the changing of the guard finally occuring and the sun rising on a new era above the dark clouds of yesterday, what are your aspirations for this team going forward ?

Beautiful Sunrise. Rising Morning sun over the ocean on Make a GIF

Looking forward to the Canucks losing 8 of their next 10 games so I can say "I told you so".

I was getting so detached, I couldn't get pumped up for games, would go to bed during the 2nd period and wouldn't even be excited if they won.

I'm pumped for tonight's game now.

It's amazing how deflated the fanbase was from Green, Jimbo and Co.

I know I'm not the only one

Me too.  Only reason I watched the end of the last game was to see if the fans would step up and put some pressure on ownership.  No fun watching when losing looked like it might be the best outcome.

The guys should have a ton of energy from the weight lifted off their shoulders tonight.

Media and many folks on CDC participating in a love-in for Boudreau. If he’s “the answer” I’ll gladly own it, but I think he’s a bit of a relic. Sure, he’s funny with his f-bomb laden dressing room rants and his Elmer Fudd looks and his love of ice cream but that’s not going to get him very far with me.

So yeah, I’ll extend him a grace period but I’m leaning towards being a skeptic.

In Aqua's message he fired them all together.

Looking forward to some positivity and a chance to look ahead with a new vision.
that being said the problems aren’t fixed, they likely will lose a lot for the foreseeable future.

Boudreau is fine for now...let's see what he can do.  But...

Canucks need a PRESIDENT who will set the course for the next 5 years and REBUILD properly.

Forget this "try to get into the playoffs"....we're miles away.  The goal should be to win the CUP and to do that, build this team properly!

Waiting for Aquilini's statement this afternoon, but based upon history, I'm not confident.

I know, change was inevitable.   But I would LOL if Green winds up with another gig and he wins the Cup before the Canucks do.

It's painfully obvious. Why do you think Linden stepped down ?

That's the narrative, but who's narrative?  I don't think that anyone other than Linden knows why he stepped down, and maybe even he doesn't.  Speculation is fun but it doesn't mean that we know what actually happened behind the scenes.  I'm more interested in what happens on the ice. GCG!

Studies show blue jerseys are less likely to win tampa is exception.

Source? Because yes there is research done into this, I have just never seen blue to be an issue in any of those studies. In my schooling, though I'm by no means a specialist, we did dabble in sports psychology. Blue jerseys historically have a high win rate, ranking in the top 3 by the majority of studies. The only color that our research feels confident enough to hang a hat on is red being a productive color to cultivate wins.
