gudbranson and sbisa weren't future leaders, they were present leaders. i can't recall anybody ever saying virtanen would be a leader.

No one ever suggested any of those players would be future leaders. 

 

The majority of us here are true fans who want the best for our players, team. 

 

You obviously only come around here to smear names and stir the pot.

Tons of people, especially the poster (oldnews) called out, used to rationalize, and even parade these one-dimensional/limited ability players as important under the guise of leadership.  And in a cap world, those players should rightfully be criticized when they're paid a certain amount and fail to provide more than the basics.

Also, "true fans" =/= those who refuse to ever engage in critical thinking or analysis regarding their team.  If a true fan is anything, it's somebody who commits time to consume the team, the sport, whatever.  End of.  Arguably, those who choose to analyze and criticize where necessary, even if just to smear what they dislike, are far more "true" than those who happily accept and support anything to do with their team.  Fans aren't pets; obedience doesn't make good supporters.
