I think the whole team may have been better, except for Hoglander. He had a rough one, but hard to complain after a 4-0 win. Agree about Sutter, and I think they'll make a trade for another C. He definitely seemed to be using his body more and had more push. That was the player I thought we had after we acquired him.
Nucker 67
Canucks have/had the Lotto Line with Miller - Pettersson - Boeser, and they had some success. Will Boudreau put them together, or use Miller as a C? I'm curious how he'll set the lines, who will get opportunity on D Who knows, maybe after a week or two he could have: Podkolzin - Pettersson - Boeser Garland - Miller - Chiasson Pearson - Horvat - Hoglander Motte - Lammikko - Dickinson OEL - Hamonic Hughes - Schenn Hunt - Myers Burroughs

Was that on the Coach or on the player?
Popular Post appleboy
The first game under Bruce the guys were told to just go out and play. So a lot of what they did was from natural instincts. I wonder if the biggest problem with this team this year was that Green and company were too focused on details. The guys were unsure of what to do and over thinking everything they did. I counted 9 players on the team last night that are new this year to the team. There has been times when we had 11 playing on some nights. They have very short preseasons and once the year gets started they struggle to find practice time. Over the last two years we have seen a ton of turn over. The style that Bruce plays allows the guys to play a lot with instincts. I'd rather he keeps them together to build some chemistry.

If BB can get his game turned around then lets go. My gut tells me that Sutter isn't coming back. interestingly Walker and Dickinson have ties from their junior days in Guelph. Second to EP/BB, hes a guy that could use that confidence boost. 1

It probably has a lot to do with the coaching. Scott Walker coached Dickson during all 4 of his junior years in Gueph! I'd say he's one happy hockey player who is remembering that he was 1st round pick who could score goals. 1 1
