Popular Post Gurn
I remember his last Canuck game coached. iirc Nucks outshot the rangers 60 something to about 30. The team played very well, they all kind of figured it was Bob's last. Pat Quinn liked him. What more needs to be said? Condolences to his family. 2 1 1 2

ShawnAntoski
RIP - some good & bad memories. Mostly, good; especially, in the 89 playoffs - damn Vernon.
GB5
I loved McCammon as a coach. He was here at the start of the Pat Quinn era and the Canucks were starting to show up consistently and were playing exciting hockey, maybe a bit like they were in the last couiple weeks. I still remember the run from the 1988-89 season when they had a 7 game winning streak and Trevor Linden was a rookie, they made the playoffs and there was a lot of hope for Canucks fans. I always thought of McCammon as a great tactician and smart hockey man...... I'm greatful for the memories and wish all the best for his family.

Yeah, they went on a magical run to win the cup but the Nucks gave them a hard series; and I can remember a few split-glove saves by Vernon.

I have to admit, when I saw this posted in the General Hockey Discussion subforum, I thought it was Bob Mackenzie, and was thinking "oh no..." until I realized I misread the name. Then my thought became "oh no...and wrong subforum ".
