She checked out last night at 11:59 as fireworks boomed in the background. Pretty sure her last words were probably "hey Betty, hold my beer". Consder that some of the bigger/well known charities get all the attention. A local charity run by 2 women I know (often out of pocket with max'd out personal credit cards), please consider Rabbitats as a place to share the love. Every bunny I've rescued in the recent past (20 or more buns in serious jeopardy or state of injury?) has gone to them, even when "closed due to overcrowding". They've never turned me away. They will be evicted from their property in the next year or so (damn development) after having fixed it up a great deal to meet their needs. All through volunteered material and man hours. I am a part-time volunteer here and can vouch for the fact that every single penny goes toward the rabbits and their care (mostly vet bills, as they take in many seriously injured rabbits that would not stand a chance without them).
