-DLC-
It won't be significant, however, people are advised to stay away from the shores/beaches just in case. Some beaches in Tofino and Collwood are closed at the moment.

That would be tragic. But at the same time rather fitting.

All that natural coral is likely to be irreversibly damaged. Fitting, though, it would be if the human activity there were to abruptly cease because it suddenly found itself below sea level again. Tragic if there's people living on those islands. Humans have a tendency everywhere of wiping out the local environment to put in homes. Doesn't make it right. If all humanity was gone, the Earth would heal. But humans would have left deep scars.

RUPERTKBD
Has to be a bit scary on the East coast of Australia. They're right in the path. Our friends in Melbourne should be okay, but Sydney and Brisbane might be in danger...

(2nd video shows a possible surge up almost to the logs) Edited January 16, 2022 by AV's Coin

It only endangers their own lives and those of who may have to rescue you afterwards. Obviously this was a very small wave ripple, but what if forecasters got it wrong and it was 10 feet high? Every single one of those people on camera would be dead or fighting for their lives just because they had to go look.
