Popular Post -DLC-
This part ticks me off: Quote the judge "agreed to let Boucher enter a plea for the lesser charge and agreed to sentence him with no upfront jail time through the Holmes Youthful Trainee Act, or HYTA. Under HYTA, the case won't appear on Boucher's public record if he successfully completes his sentence." I understand he was 17 at the time, but the nature of this should really be part of his history. Billet families let these players into their homes based on trust....this is really disturbing on so many levels. 4

He was "removed" from the family but...why wasn't more done then???? Quote The article from the Detroit Free Press states USA Hockey was contacted about the incident in 2011, but all it did was remove Boucher from the billet home and placed him elsewhere. https://12ft.io/proxy?q=https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/2022/01/14/reid-boucher-sex-assault-hockey-khl-nhl/9090500002

Popular Post GB5
There needsd to be jail time and a criminal record for this. Any normal 17 year old would know this is wrong and Boucher acted like a predator against the 12 year old through manipulation and intimidation. The dude is a real loser in my books. 3

Popular Post Vermette9
A 17 year old having sexual relations with a 12 year is not right on its own but to force yourself on her and black mailing her to get more out of it, is just soo f*cking scummy. What an absolute piece of $&!#. I hope he gets &^@#ed up in the worst way. Scumbag 5
Slegr
That's horrible. It's sad to think I was rooting for this guy when he played for the Canucks, not knowing what a true monster he was off the ice. Seems like KHL welcomes the sketchy type with open arms, and it's definitely a black eye for USA Hockey for allegedly turning a blind eye to it. 2

Any normal 17 year old would know this is wrong and Boucher acted like a predator against the 12 year old through manipulation and intimidation. The dude is a real loser in my books. Especially considering the nature of it. Not a matter of a teenage boy ignoring boundaries in a moment of lust to have sex with a younger girl (which is also wrong). But the fact that he planned, threatened and exploited her in a calculating and manipulative way is extremely disturbing. It wasn't just a moment of lust, it was something that was likely quite emotionally terrifying for her beyond the actual acts themselves. Holding something over someone "unless they do" what you want. That's something she carried around and will continue to do so. The mental intimidation that creates fear and anxiety is criminal, that stuff can linger. People's lives are changed in acts like these and it's a very serious matter. Organizations that simply move away from serious issues like this rather than addressing them need to be held accountable. This should most definitely be on his record because it's going to be stored on her mental record for the rest of her life. Seems fair. 6 2
Coconuts
USA hockey's definitely got some investigating to do, but I doubt anything will come of it It's amazing what's overlooked when sports are involved
