This season reminds me of the year when the entire team battled COVID, and things just fell apart. What a nightmare that was.

This isn't as bad, but still. The start to the season. Green. Locker room. COVID.

It sucks to lose players to protocol but this is way better than last season.

Our games that were postponed were actually rescheduled very fairly in the Olympic break. We only play 6 games in those 14 days.

Plus we’re only losing 1 player at a time right now. By next week we’ll have Halak, Garland, and Bo back. As long as they were asymptomatic they should be good to go.

Yup, it's been a weird season

Awful start under Green, PK killing us, got hot for a bit, games delayed, Covid hitting the lineup

Our only saving graces are a surprising lack of injuries and Demko, we live or die via Demko

I still don't think we make it, time will tell

Let's hope they're asymptomatic.

Just reminded me of the year the entire team got COVID. That was such a horrible year.

Yeah. I don't think we make it either. I think we'll make it very interesting, which will make the decision by management to be sellers or buyers more complicated than really it should be.

Rumors on Miller by the Rangers are getting hotter it seems by the day.

Trade the man to a contender for crying out loud, and get some pieces to help us with the RHD, and some roster pieces coming back.

That's def the train I'm on

But don't get me wrong, I want the guys to do well so they can build on it and get better

I think the future can be bright, I'm just not sold on the present

Teams have played with bigger issues this year.  We decided to cancel games for fan capacity reasons so have now run out of capacity to keep pushing games.

Francesco’s decision really at the end of the day. He’s motivated by money more than anything.

I get that it’s a business, but c’mon, you want your team to win too right, and give them the best chances to win. I can’t help but wonder if he didn’t cancel the games he did, whether the most recent road trip would have been a winning one, rather than coming home 2-3.

I’m not sold either on the current roster. I think there is potential to be good, but we could obviously have a much better roster.

We’ve got a lot of talent, but I think like anything, there has to be a good mix. Do we have that right now with the collection of players?

Or do we need to change some of the players, to get the right mix.

We also have backend needs, with most of the backend players aging. They’re not going to get better. So the most likely scenario is that 1-2 of our top six forwards are going to be moved to change the mix a little, but also address some of the needs moving forward. This franchise for whatever reason, cannot seem to draft a legitimate, top end RHD. Or it’s been so long since we’ve had one.

Feels like we are prisoners of JT's worth.

Rather not but our hands may be pushed by uncomfortable forces.:sadno:

We played October through a chunk of December and have had minimal games lost by our D or top six, that's not usually how it goes for the Canucks

Hamonic has been hurt, OEL was out briefly, but most of Hamonic's time lost revolved around vaccination

Any way you spin it, we haven't been bit by the injury bug the way we have been in seasons past

You're probably right. Pettersson scored a couple, but Demko's the reason we beat Washington. We played Nashville well, but it was close enough for most of the game that he was probably he difference between us winning and losing that one too.

Throw in Miller and Bo both being out and yeah, doesn't look good.

And risk him getting hurt? Blasphemy. His food talk must be protected. Who else is going to talk about ketchup?

Yeah, that's a big oof for sure. Mikey hasn't played much, but it'd be interesting to see where he's at.

I think you're probably right, though it'd be interesting to see DiPietro.

Hope they don't light us up like deadmonton! I'm down with canucks giving up less goals then deadmonton, I'll consider it a win lol
