I was kind of hoping that Roberto Luongo was willing to slap on the pads for us on Friday, since we're still paying for part of his salary with our cap... :bigblush:

...wait a minute, is he still in town?

Har har har. we aren't actually paying him though....... It's a penalty. He doesn't actualy get the money.

aside from splitting hairs though I would actually love to see that.

I would've called it even if he played one more game for us.

(Would that mean he'd have to "unretire" and the retire as a Canuck?  If so, even better!   )

I blame Aquilini for a lot of stuff, but no way he has the power to make decisions like that.

it would be a discussion primarily between the league and the public health folks… the two Governors involved would get their say but no way would they get to drive the decision.

The NHL is very centralized with their power and any pushed games impact their entire schedule.

Aquilini cancelled the games cause he didn't want to lose revenue. They could have been played in front of a reduced capacity

Do you have a source for that…

When in the history of the league as a team had the power to unilaterally cancel games?

The league would have signed off.  Daly earlier that week and then Shannon explaining why the game was ultimately postponed.  Ottawa did make the trip to Edmonton and Calgary but with the Canucks' game cancelled as well as Winnipeg's they adjusted the schedule by a few days.

The 15 min Rapid tests are only about 65 - 75% accurate. This is due to people not using them properly or contamination. They are only a screening tool.

There's some tests out there now, which are more accurate and completely non-invasive and based just on micro changes in your sense of smell. I believe Canada just ordered about 25 million of these.

They only take about 1 minute to take.

All fine and dandy, but why even test if you aren't sick? Everybody is gonna get it eventually. anyways.

Testing is so that you can try and isolate yourself from people who are compromised. It's still dangerous to a lot of people.
