You’re telling me Pettersson and Hughes couldn’t have put in a better performance than that?

What a no show weekend for McDavid and Draisaitl.

No doubt.   Can't remember Gretzky getting stoned during his prime like that - and back then it was a normal 60 minutes of best on best.    Get that teams don't want their players getting injured.   Funny thing that i've noticed, is how many players don't even participate anymore, instead rather just stay and home and rest to get back to 100%.   Truly wonder how the vets feel about this - that said even the vets had to endure a different gimmick going back to when they started playing them.   Used to be all-star appearances meant something ... not so much anymore

Hockey aside, we should be grateful that we have Al Murdoch as our PA announcer.

Yes that's something.   Don't know how the record books can record these things with a straight face though.  Might as well draw line and start a new one dating back to the lockout at least.

Same as the regular season goalie and team stats.   Goalies OTL/SO losses and wins put in the tie column, or their own column ... Lundqvist had like 80 plus of them ... Luongo wasn't great at them but still over 40... MAF too..yet Cujo, Roy etc and the rest got their 400 plus wins the right way.

And shoot out goals also shouldn't count as a goal against or a goal for.    Screws with all the records.  OT  4 x 4 and 3 x 3 does too.   Should have their own column.   Some of these guys get their names in the record books for what they do in all-star games and rightly so, but they've mixed it up too much for it to even remotely have a sense of constistency.
