Temporarily, him and Hughes need to share those offensive minutes better

It was Arizona tonight, so I wouldn’t make plans for playing the rest of the NHL based on playing the Desert Mutts. OEL did get three points, but then Juulson had two, so what does that mean? Putting a strong defensive left D who could take on some of OELs defensive responsibilities would help, though. In addition, he creates play differently than Hughes, which is a good thing to have - when it’s not working for one guy, it might work for the other.

He is getting traded people. They have said two years to be competitive and Jt Miller wants to win a cup not just be competitive. He didn’t signing here and he’s going to ask for more than we can afford. We need to assets. These games just raise his value. Yes I love the player but we need what he will get in a trade for us more right now.

Nope.

how about this for your thoughts:

So if the Canucks used a lottery protected 1st round pick to land Crouse, would it be worth it?

I would say yes.

Fits the age range and our needs perfectly.

We could probably get him locked in for a pretty reasonable cap hit with his numbers too. A good replacement for Pearson.

I think it should be easy to understand OEL contribution tonight.

the old Fox still has it.

You bet! Great game by OEL. We take for granted how much time Hughes plays during a game. OEL is tasked with shutting guys down, and he is doing it well this year. I never noticed his toughness till he joined our team. He has some sand paper to him.

Now you put him in the Hughes spot and he lights it up for 3 apples. Gotta love it
