No point in changing coaches unless the new guy has the balls to put McDiver in the press box if he keeps refusing to backcheck.

? I thought McDavid backchecks all the time, at least Ive seen him do it last game we played. Not sure where your comment even comes from lol..

Nevermind backchecking, McJesus only has 8 points in his last 12 games.  His offence has dried up.  Miller has 10 points in his last 12 games and Petey has 10 points as well...

Kane had more TOI than McDavid last night. McDavid was 5th in TOI for their forwards........maybe that's why Tippett got axed.

McWonder hasn't been all that wonderful for awhile. But of course you would never hear about it through the Rogers media strainer.

McDavid probably went to Holland and whined about it until he agreed to fire him.

He’s probably one of those players who’s dad was the coach and always expects special treatment.

Gotta laugh at the “leadership” group they have assembled there.

Yup, he was.......

McDavid later joined the York-Simcoe Express, a team in Aurora, Ontario, where he was coached by his father, Brian; the team would win four Ontario Minor Hockey Association championships.

To VAN:

Draisatl (50% retained)

To EDM:

Boeser

Halak

7th Round Pick

Why Vancouver does it:  Draisatl is an up and coming super duper star.  At 50% retained, he's a super duper ooper star.

Why Edmonton does it:  They get a goalie that can stand in front of the net sometimes.  Boeser wants more money... oil money in Edmonton can pay for it.  7th round pick as a sweetener.

IF Edmonton called with Draisatl on the table, everyone but Demko and hughes are in play. He is a top 10 or better player in this league; better than anyone we have. I would happily trade a Beoser and garland type contract to make up the $$.

Edmonton is just plain stupid; they need to take the Canucks model, and give up draft capital to unload bad contracts. Give up a 1st Rounder to get rid of Koskinen and Smith. Then, sign a big swinger in FA. Instead, they refuse to do so, get cute, and draft redundancy in the draft.....stupid! I would absolutely love if we had McDavid or Draisatl on our team.

To be fair to McDavid, how much coaching did he need, even back then?

Seems like a lot since he still refuses to backcheck and constantly dives and throws tantrums.  His dad completely failed at teaching him how to be a man, let alone a respectable teammate.

That would be sooooooo sweet if Edmonton was dumb enough to go for that.....

Funny you guys are making fun of the Oil. Canucks also fired their coach and GM this year. Are in a worse place in the standings. No first round picks the last two years. Also lost a few second and third round picks along the way. Signed Holtby for a year only to buy him out the next year. Signed Virtanen, then buy him out a year later. They traded for a top six forward when they also needed some defensemen themselves. On a given night this year, half their blue line consists of Kyle Burroughs, Luke Schenn, Brad Hunt, or some other AHL crap. OEL is here with a full NMC for the next 5 years at 7.3 m.  Petterson has almost completely disappeared.  Unfortunately for VAN, this is likely as good as it gets.

And you don't think the Oiler fans were making fun of us when all those things happened? Right or wrong, this is what passionate fan bases do.

Ummmm when your fanbase proclaims you have the two best players in the world and you continually sh*t the bed year after year you deserve all the shade thrown on you. You put those two on this team we have and I guarantee we are in a playoff position.
