Just the Tipp?

Gotta wonder how long Holland survives now. His mission was pretty straight forward. Upgrade goaltending, beef up the D, and add some depth scoring with any leftover cap.

What does he do? Runs with the same tandem as last season with a now 40 year old Smith. Trades for a 38 year old way past his prime defenseman. Uses the majority of the cap space to add wingers to a team that didn’t have scoring problems…

At least Chiarelli tried to upgrade the D with the Larsson and Reinhart trades. Holland didn’t even try.

This is what gets me. Some posters on here were wondering why I was not impressed with Holland when he took over. His resume is good. But in recent years he's coasting on his past glories. You'd think he be more proactive in building a better team. Worse yet, he trades for Keith. Then gives Nurse a $9.250 million dollar contract. Still doesn't fix the defence, nor do anything about the goaltending. They better hope Konovalov is the answer for the future.
