Sadly it's unheard of to drop 6 points let alone in the last couple of weeks. They've got 8 games left so would have to go like 2-6-0 for us to realistically be able to catch them. Also they only have 1 game left against a playoff team so doubtful.

The positive is that we play them in an absolute must win game for us.

Looking at the standings and tiebreaker rules, there is hope. The tiebreaker goes to teams with more regulation wins (not OT or Shootout)

We would beat LA and Dallas if it came to a tiebreaker.

LA is now trending at 95 pts and playing some really poor hockey.

If LA keeps playing at this rate, they would finish 4-3-1 to end with 95 pts.

Canucks would need to go 7-1-1 which is not impossible...

If they stay at .500 then we can make the playoffs provide we lose only 1 game the rest of the way lol

Four games coming up: Vegas, Yotes, Stars, Sens. Need wins against Vegas and Stars in regulation. Yotes and Sens should be light work. This eight point swing puts us right back in it. Doable but this team has been strange.

If we miss by a couple points those winnable games against the Wings, NJ and Isles hurts. Of course the first chunk of games with Green hurt but we made our way back and fumbled to those easy teams.

This season has been okay in my books no matter what happens.

Extremely disappointed in the start of course, but playing at a 100 point pace for 50-60 games is nothing to sneeze at and should set us up for a playoff appearance next year.

Everyone will look back at that Detroit shutout loss for sure but we should really look at our OT losses. We have some of the best 3 on 3 talent but make stupid defensive plays over and over.

Win half of those 10 losses and we're in breezily. You could play the tape over and over, most of those losses in OT are forwards playing stupid defence either caught up ice or losing their man.

The other teams GM need to file a complaint and hire an independent doctor to investigate Vegas players LTIR status.. its so convenient that Vegas about to activate stone and 3 non impact player Patrick William and brossoit is magically going to be retroactively be on the LTIR and happens to conveniently free up JUST ENOUGH cap space to activate stone? And prolly their entire ltir roster is magically healed by round 1 if they make it

Watching the Kings-Chicago game, hoping for another Kings loss. But oh man, the Blackhawks are terrible. 6 minutes to go in the 1st, and they haven’t had even a sniff. Just 1 shot - a soft wrister from the point.

Don’t think we’re getting scoreboards help from this one.
