Domi basically played 4th line minutes and comes out and single-handedly wins the Canes game 7. He's always been a bit clutch in junior and wow did he turn it on in Game 7. Some gritty, hard working goals and a bit of skill there too, he dominated the game which not many people expected.

 

Currently on a 5M contract, there was a chance we could have taken a stab at him for a bit cheaper because he didn't do a whole lot during the regular season (and re-uniting him with Bo would have been fun, or even as our 3rd line center for 4M would have been lovely) but I have a feeling he's going to have a Motte-like playoffs and a deep post-season and end up re-signing with Carolina after they all fall in love with him.

 

Game 7 hero-ism like that just can't go un-noticed.
